  1. I really like Dr. Chiang a lot, and the whole clinic as far as that is concerned. Very helpful staff. My weight loss is slowing down, I would like to get to 150 if possible, need to increase my exercising. Just wondering what city you live in, I am in Muskego. Hope you are having a good day.
  2. Hi Sippzgrl, It is almost a year since my surgery October 23, 2013, I have lost 110 pounds, I also had no complications from the surgery. I am feeling so good, and the weight is still coming off. I know that it will stop eventually and am afraid that I will gain it back. I eat just about whatever I want except for sweets and most bread, for some reason bread does not go down well. On Sept 17 I go and have a bone density test, blood work and see the dietitian before my 1 year check up with Dr. Chiang. Do you know if we go for yearly check-ups after this or is the 1 year check up the final one? I am also exercising on a regular basis. Good luck to you also, keep trying.

  6. You look absolutely gorgeous.
  7. I never get any compliments, even though I have lost 86 lbs in 6 months. Not even from my husband. I am very hurt by this, I wish someone would say something. I can understand getting to much attention, it is probably exhausting, but to get none after all the hard work put into this makes me cry.
  8. Hi Dorian, glad to hear from you. I live in Muskego and had my surgery at Elm Brook Memorial. My starting weight was 285, I am down 30 lbs now. Feeling very good, I have not had to many problems and started my puree diet last Wednesday. When did you have your surgery? Hope to hear from you again. JoAnn
  9. I am scheduled for surgery on October 23, at 8:30 a.m. I sure would like to be able to talk to someone about all my fears and doubts about surgery. I would like someone to keep me on the right track after surgery, worried about gaining weight back as so many have done. Thanks
  10. I guess I shouldn't have read this post, I am scheduled for surgery next week, Oct 23, it sounds pretty bad, hope I didn't make the wrong decision in having this surgery. Hope you start feeling better soon.
  11. My Surgery is October 23, and I was told I would be staying 2 nights.
  12. My surgery is October 23, I am currently on my 2 week liquid diet, this is very difficult, but necessary. I have not cheated on this diet, but my husband can eat whatever he wants, never gains weight, he also eats very healthy, so in the long run, this will help me. Pear425, you said some really great things that will also help me out. Thanks
  13. I am on day six of a 14 day liquid diet, my surgery is October 23. Unless your dietician said its okay I would stay away from that kind of Soup. How are you doing otherwise? For me its tough some days other days I do fine, but I am sticking to what I am suppose to eat, I have not cheated at all.
  14. I am scheduled to have surgery on Oct 23, I'm confused I thought that having the surgery would solve the problem of being hungry or craving food? I guess I'm wrong and will just have to wait and see how it works for me.
  15. Chelle, How is is going so far, I start my liquid diet on Wednesday but have been trying to eat less the past couple days, it has been rough for me and I'm not even on the complete diet yet. When is your surgery scheduled for, mine is October 23. Good luck to you
  16.    Mid West reacted to a post in a topic: Bypass vs Sleeve: what made you decide?
  17. Hi, I was all set to have the sleeve done, scheduled on October 23rd, I had to go see the dietician on Monday, Sept 30, She noticed that I have acid reflux and said to me that I could have problems with it getting worse and suggested that I have RNY surgery instead. As soon as I got home I called by surgeons office and asked them about the acid reflux and they verified that yes it could get worse, so then and there I decided to change to the RNY Gastic By-pass. The only trouble I had was that they had to re-submit my paper work to the insurance company again, within 2 days I was approved for the surgery and kept my original surgery date of October 23rd. Also, as someone else stated, you need to stay away from sweets and fatty foods, and I always have trouble with eating to many sweets, so in the end this will really be helpful for me. Good luck to you.
