  1. Wife doesn't want me to get surgery

    My wife and daughter are totally against me having RNY surgery. They are giving me no support. They feel I can lose weight on my own. I just wasn't trying all those other times I dieted. I'm still pressing on and doing everything to get the surgery no matter what.

    Wow, I'm glad I found this thread. I thought I was the only one without family support. My wife and daughter are totally against this. My wife won't even go to any meetings or doctor visits with me. I have not made a surgery date yet but have had all my tests, etc. done. I am resigning the fact that I will go this alone. I get plenty of support from everyone else but not at home.
