  1. You will do fine! I had lap band in 2008 and then had it removed in 2012 and then had rny in 2013 and the RNY surgery was the easiest
  2. I'm in Melbourne...other side of the state
  3. Where are you from in Florida?
  4. Point taken.....just stinks to do everything right and see no results. I really think my body just won't give anymore up
  5. I am a year out and stopped loosing around month 6
  6. Do you ever think there is a point when your body says I'm not going to let any more lbs go? I'm so frosted I want to loose the last 15 lbs and my body won't give it to me.
  7. Yes, I have but it's a personal feeling so I will search until I find the right one! I wish my weightloss surgeon could do it!
  8. Thank you Susan.....according to the PS around here they are two different things...panniculectomy just removes the skin and in cases Tricare has approved it. Tightening of the muscles is cosmetic and not covered so in essence they will do the whole thing at their price and deduct what Tricare will pay for the panniculectomy from the total. ( they say it's less than a quarter of the overall price) I'm in the process of getting a second opinion so we will see if changes from doc to doc. The trick now will be finding a doc I am comfortable with.
  9. Just starting the new process.....question though, I'm sure you probably heard this before but I truly am in this for the skin removal......do you think it would be silly to do just a panniculectomy and not the full abdomnioplasty ?
  10. On to find a new doc all because the current one has an awful office staff
  11. Mine was Da Vinci robot by Dr. Allison, Viera Florida. No complications.
  12. After 6 weeks recovery I am not limited (other than carbonated and high sugar) I eat popcorn all the time.
  13. Yes I was given the guide and spelled out what needed to be in print...I am keeping my fingers crossed
  14. Our facility doesn't have a surgical unit....I had a consult with a civilian doc who was great but doesn't think we will have much success in getting payment....thinking if anything they may cover just the skin removal. I have my fingers crossed!
  15. Has anyone been approved?
  16. I have been dedicated to my workouts, my dilemma is I am seeing changes (for the better) in my body however the scale just won't move???
  17. Why do you think that is? Sometimes I feel I can eat too much, the band made me stop eating and now I have to stop myself....I don't even think my idea of a portion is realistic anymore
  18. I haven't had that problem. I am actually losing very slow 6 months out and I'm only down 20 lbs
  19. Although my loss is slow...rny has been a totally different experience. I feel you have to be much more accountable than with the band. The band controlled how much you ate, it is very easy to overheat with rny so you have to be conscious of what and how you are eating. Much luck to you
  20. What did you have to do to get It approved?
