  1. My sister had a c section about a year after rny surgery. Everything went great for her!
  2. Good luck, I'm on day 5. Smooth sailing so far, for the most part, I don't leave the house much and since we have Netflix and no cable I luckily don't have to worry about food commercials, it just the recipes that ppl post on Facebook! Darn it!
  3. I'm still preop but just wanted to say I'm sorry. I'm sure those are pretty painful! Hope you are feeling better!
  4. Half mile away*** I certainly do not want to risk my health!
  5. Thanks for the feedback everyone! Looks like I'll be begging my husband to take off work for a while or I'll be moving into my mom and dads for a while. ( they live a fall mile away! )
  6. I know that everyone recovers differently and is per drs orders but I am wondering what to expect after surgery as far as taking care of my 14 month old busy boy. He is pretty good about playing on his own, I am just concerned about carrying him down the stairs (we live in an old house so all of the bedrooms are upstairs) My husband leaves for work at 5:45 in the morning and doesn't usually get home until 6 or 8 at night. I'm not concerned about getting rest because he sleeps in pretty late and takes a 2 hour nap everyday. Should I plan on having someone come stay with me to help out? And if so, for how long?
  7. Luckily I don't have a sense of smell ( never have, and yes I can taste, weird I know) so I don't have in worry about smelling the yummy food. Lucky in this case I guess.
  8. I'm having a tough time too. Went to a birthday party today and the food looked soooo good! Especially was hard for me when I was making a plate for my 14month old son and cutting up his food for him! I didn't sneak a bite tho! I was chewing my gum like a cow!
  9. I'm August 22! Day 3 of liquid preop diet!
  10. Today is my first day of the 2 week liquid diet. Isn't going bad so far it's just really hard not to take a bite of the food I am feeding my 14 month old! Had my preop seminar today, a lot of information but I feel pretty prepared! 2 weeks to go before my life changes for the very best! Can't wait! My sister is 2 years postop and has lost 125 pounds with only 18 to go before the dr goal. She got pregnant 3 months out but you would never be able to tell! I am so proud of her and continue looking up to her as always! Good luck to the surgeries coming up and I hope all is going well for the ones that have already happened!
  11. Good luck! I'm scheduled for August 22!
  12. Psh, not fair! My dr says a MONTH!!
