  1. hey! it's been 9 months since i was operated and got banned and NOW i am finally loosing some weight! tadaaaaaa! pehehehe! i've lost about 5 kilos in like 2 weeks!! Gosshhh is that normall??!!! i'm scared it's too good to be true!! how much in general do you guys loose??? i have noticed everyone here counts in pounds - is that an americal thing:rambo ?? thanks!
  2. soda makes me burp - it also has a lot of sugar right? even the diet ones are bad
  3. Hi! Ohh myy goddd! I think i did a PD!!??? ok so at night i had some milk and Cookies (i know, i'm going to stop that soon) - after a while it would not go down my pipe and after 5 mins it came out - but not acidy like vomit - it was more like with alot of see through slime or mucus! Does this mean the band is tooo tight!!!!!????? also, i dont seem to be loosing weight at all - i am not on a major strict diet, and i do have 'bad' food once in a while - should that not be allowed? r all of you guys eating very healthy food stuff?? Thanks!!
  4. babs - sorry to hear about your loss keep up the cool work
  5. hi! ohhhh sorry about the pbing thing! Maybe if you doc could just take a bit out? So the fill will still be more than before - but not as much as now - other banders say that can make a great difference! I'm going to try that as well. Let's see what others say i am sure they will have good advise! Good luck!
  6. hey! thanks for the feedback and the website! Well i can swallow liquids no problem - yes i do feel restriction but that is just normal right?. Maybe it's because it's only the 3rd day without doing any liquids. I just started to eat normally. Now that i think about it, i think the pain could be my stomach pipe being a bit sore from the fill?? Cause really i have no pain with Water. Thanks for the advise - i think i will wait for a few more days - if i still feel pain i will take half a mm thankssssssssssssssssssss!!!
  7. hi! Okk i was eating so wonderfully then i just HAD to go for my 3rd fill didn't I!!! Now it kind of hurts when i eat! It's like i can't swallow properly and it takes long to go down the pipe - a bit like constipation i guess! Pehehehe!!! The only difference is that i dont like not eating at ALL! Also, my doc puts milli... something, not the "cc" that you guys talk about! I think i had around 6, then when he put the 7th one that's when the damage was caused! I can't even eat chips without it getting stuck in my pipe! If i take half a mm out then do you think it will make a difference!!!?? The only good news is that FINALLY after alot of practice the doc can now stick a needle in me for a fill really quickly and i dont get anymore shooting "heart attack" pains! And i still don't know what PB is, some sort of slime or something?? Well at least i am not doing that! Thanks!
  8. Hey! I'm going on holiday as well in June but i had my band on March 14. If you are recovered from surgery (it took me a week to recover) then it should be fine! You just have to then worry about the liquid diet and make sure you stick to it. We have to be careful - chew properly, and not gulp everything down lolss! And drink a bit slowly and stuff. As long as we are sensible it will be ok! I'm also going to check if there are any lapband docs where i'll be going on holiday - just incase anything does happen (if the band slips or anything...). Before i had my first fill i could take panadols or any other pills so i guess you can too. But you should ask your doc first. Ohh! and even i'm worried about fitting on the bloody small plane seats! Pehehe!!!
  9. when i had my first fill (which was today!) i asked my doc if i should go on a liquid diet for a day or so and he said i should just eat normally but chew well. And that is what i have been doing. I can still eat quite a bit - hopefully i will get more restriction in a week or so 2cc fill.
  10. good luck longhorn!!!!!! Wow! you're going for counseling for emotional eating!! great! Do tell us how you are getting along, it would be nice to get that kind of help! take care!
  11. i went again today for the fill - this time doc found my band with the help of an ultra-sound. I had the same pain again! it was not the needle but the pressure of him pressing my tummy! anyways that is what he told me. FINALLY he found the band and gave me a fill of 2cc. Is that enough? cause i can still eat quite a bit - maybe tomorrow it will be tighter - but then again doc said he had put a bigger band than usual. Yes he is the same doc who gave me my band - he is a nice doc and knows what he's doing - but just needs to understand my pain man!!! He's quite a softie otherwise! Pehehe! Oh yeah, he said it can be difficult to find the band the first time - and also i had a lot of fat!!!!! I'm just dreading the next fill lolsss!!! thank you for your emailsss!!!!
  12. I went for my first fill and it was horrible:( The doc could not find the band - and in some areas (where he KEPT injecting me over and over again!) i was getting sharp shooting pains - even on my chest! The doc said it was normal - it was just the abdominal wall or the muscles or something!! But i think i know the difference and it was NOT NICE! I have to go back tomorrow and i dont know how i am going to tell the doc i might be getting a stroke!
  13. hey it's my first fill on wednesday I'm just a little concerned about the size of the needle! I thought it was the size of a normal injection?? Okk the main question is - DOES IT HURT MAN!!!!!!! i am already sweating - i need to be mentaly prepared! Does the needle look anything like the thing they use on pregnant women!!!
  14. hello! I had my operation last month and I’m going to have my first fill this friday!! YEAHHHH!!! I'm ready for some action man! Anyways i've been quite bad for the past two weeks – been doing some serious pigging out!! AHHHH!!!! I've been to all my favorite restaurants and stuffing myself with yummy food like there’s no tomorrow (almost true in my case!) Goodness, i must have put on all the weight i lost with that dreadful liquid diet! The good news is that i actually see a change in my eating habits! Yes I am stuffing myself – but not as much as I could before the operation - I eat LESS than half now!! Did I mention I don’t have a fill yet – lolsss! After a small amount of delicious food I get that awful! awful! awful! pain in my back and I can’t breath! The band just won’t allow me my “two weeks of major eating before the fill!” But anyways I'm quite happy with this band and i just want to say YESS! YESS! YESSS! YESSS! DAMN IT! Maybe there is SOME hope and i might even LOOSE (not put on!) weight!
  15. Hello lapbanders! Okk this is my 3nd week and i am THROUGH with the liquid stage (i refuse to go near any Soup for the next few years!). Anyways my doc rang me and asked me how i was feeling- i told him for the past 2 days i was eating some solids - yes i was cheating! He said it was fine, my stomach or whatever must have swelled down, and as long i was keeping the food in and not vomiting I could start eating again!! YEAHH!! So for the next two weeks i can actually put something in my mouth which needs chewing - then i'm going to have my first fill!! Hurrayyyy!!!! Thanks!
