  1. Hiya, I'm Kristi. I had bypass on 6/26/13. I am a computer teacher in a very small school district. I teach grades pre-k through 12th grade. I'm also an Educational Technology Specialist. I have run into several other teachers on the June board alone, so I thought it would be neat to see if we could get a group of educators on here to share secrets to successful eating habits in school. I know we are always rushed for time to eat and use the restroom! How many of y'all are having to deal with Common Core?
  2. I do this too… I'm an Educational Technology Specialist… haha I love having a title
  3. ugggghhhh don't mention that common core stuff we are still on break! I'm in New York state so we don't go back till September.
  4. I teach computers Pre-k through 12th, and a college class of Service Learning. I'm also yearbook advisor, we are a club not a class
  5. hek1127- what do you teach? hautechick- what are you studying? RJ- LOVE this… "4AM - Up and at them!!! in reality I lay in bed and check RNY talk till 5am " I bought a fitbit flex (i had the zip before) and when the site is working I love it. It tracks my steps, my sleep, calories burned.. you can track your food, water all sorts… and I love the dashboard so I can keep track of it all. When you reach your step goal for the day you feel the bracelet vibrate on your wrist. It also syncs with Map my walk. I think this is a link for a referral and will give you more info if interested, http://bit.ly/1dI4WOa
  6. So I'm up… eating a little egg white with turkey sausage… and then off for my morning walk… this weight loss is a time consuming full time job! I hope I can figure out an exercise schedule once school starts in september! Michelle, you are always in my thoughts. Hopefully everything will get better soon! So far I have had no aversions to anything I've eaten… this worries me at times because I don't want to fall back into old patterns later on…

  15. Not sure how I'm going to handle this.... Got a letter from the dr office. My iron level is low and they want me to double up on the iron pill. I can barely go to the bathroom as it is! My vit D is low as well so I have to double up my calcium w/vit d and take an extra d3 supplement. I guess this could explain why I need an after noon nap
