  1. First of all, congratulations!! You look beautiful! May I ask what your goal is and what complications you had?
  2. Hi everyone. I have been reading everyones posts and trying not to get my hopes up yet. I've been to the surgeon once, didn't see him, I saw his p.a. I wasn't sure at that time what surgery I wanted, the gastric or d.s. but she recommended the gastric. I'm good with that. My bmi is 54. I, very luckily, have no health issues besides GERD and spinal problems because my weight is compressing my spine. I have my check list of things I have to do before they can request insurance approval done on my end, now I'm just waiting for an appointment with the dietician and the psychologist. I also have an appointment with the dr for a sleep study. Then they submit for insurance approval. I'm so scared they are gonna deny it, I don't want to tell anyone I'm considering the surgery till I know. I went to my old primary care and he said that because I have no health issues I wasn't a good candidate. So that is why I keep thinking its not going to happen. I'm glad to have found this forum and to be able to read all ur stories and ask you all question.
