I told her about the ulcer from what I found on the Internet and she thinks if she only smokes a little than she is fine. ughhhh I told her to get a stop smoking aide of she's doing this life changing life altering surgery than quitting should be a piece of cake

ok I know this is a bad habit! But I need to know because my best friend is having surgery next week and still smokes, and doesn't plan to give it up! I have no information to give her but the fact that it's not good! can anyone please help me! She seems a bit clueless!

If you tell me how I can get everyone's dates I would gladly do it. I have a whole day of nothing to do tomorrow and could do it. I know everyone isn't listed just under this forum of August surgeries. they have posted elsewhere. any suggestions?

Congrats and welcome! Just wanted to say your doing an amazing job! The world needs more foster parents. I use to be that "foster" child and I remember how much of a pain I was. Lived in the system since I was 12 till I turned 21 and maxed out and thrown basically to the streets with absolutely no tools as to how to survive out there! I learned on my own and learned very fast!! I always wanted to do the same, except not babies, I wanted to be a foster mother to troubled teen girls! I remember how lost I was growing up in the system and being bounced around from home to home every time I turned around. I now have a 11 old daughter with Autism, so my plans have been put on hold and who knows if I will make it to that dream or not. time will tell, but at least I will be healthier of I do decide to. My wife and I are having our surgery together on August 19th. good luck on your journey!

I've been a ball of nerves since I got the surgery date lol

20 minutes.. We live in Liverpool. We hired a nanny for after surgery to help out with our daughter who is 11, but has Autism and help out with general house tasks and such. Also just ordered 2 lay flat power recliners with heat and massage to sleep in after surgery because I have heard from too many people that it is horrible trying to get out of bed! This is my first surgery ever so I'm nervous, but my wife has had her appendix out and gallbladder so she says it's a piece of cake lol. I'm still very nervous
