Jackie set a timer for every 15 mins to sip Water that's what I do and it helps tremendously. I'm still struggling with protein as well but every little bit counts and it gets easier. So far today I've only taken in about 35g of protein and that mainly came from a Protein shake. surgery date - Apr 5th/2013 9am

I'm 3 days out and the smell of real food doesn't bother me at all! It actually turns my stomach. I tried eating some cream of wheat today and my pouch was like umm nope that's gross. Even struggling to drink Protein shakes to ensure I'm getting my protein in. Its difficult! surgery date - Apr 5th/2013 9am

Hello everyone, I made it to the post op group yay! Just a quick update on how I'm feeling. The pain is very tolerable, I actually found gallbladde surgery worse. Had my surgery friday morning and today was my hardest day. Not the pain tho...the nausea. Omg I was crying and found myself regretting my decision to have this done. After alot of graval and zofran I was much better and I don't regret this at all. Everyones healing process is different and I have to remember that and remind myself that a few days of pain and nausea is worth the life change and happier healthier me. I'm home now resting and walking. My kids are ginornous helps! And the pain meds my Dr gave me are helping so much with everything. Yea I've been sleeping lots lol and I'm bored outta my mind. But between the morphine and percocets for the pain I'm doing very well. Gallbladder removal was worse than this! I've been up walking.. was difficult the first time but I'm getting the hang of it with zofran being my bff lol im excited to go home tomorrow. surgery date - Apr 5th/2013 9am

Ah okay lol it seems to have gone now thankfully. I was able to sit up and get out of bed all on my own. They were shocked lol but then lightheaded and dizziness and nausea started. But I feel great! surgery date - Apr 5th/2013 9am

Hey everyone. I'm recovery. Everything went great. Took about three hours. Pain isn't too bad...great pain meds. Gotta get up and start walking soon. All in all, I feel fantastic! Just really tired and they're watching my temperature cuz ita slowly going up. surgery date - Apr 5th/2013 9am

Yes u ar definetly doing the right thing. What ur feeling now is completely normal and just think of how much happier you will be when its all done and over with and the weight starts falling off.
