  1. I am 2-11-2013 I have lost 108 pounds. I am 2 pounds until goal is met. I weigh 136. I would tell all in the beginning the surgery does all the work but at about the 6 month point it's time for you to get busy and do the work. Exercise is the key. I do 60 minutes a day. The hunger is back. I also log my food daily thru Loseit app on my phone. The challenging part is now. Just remember the surgery is only a tool the rest is up to you.
  2. Yes it me a while but also found it and am back.
  3. I know what y'all mean about slow losing. As long as I stick to strict low carb high protein I do pretty well. I am fighting the urge of not falling to temptation. The hunger is back with a vengeance and now it's 100 percent me doing the work except for minimal intake although I could eat a little more if I let myself.
  4. Surgery date 2-11-13 beginning weight 244 current weight 146. 98 pounds down. Woohoo waiting on the 100 mark. The Doc wants me low 130s it's a slow go. Exercise daily 1 hour. Never felt better. Did my first 5k this past Saturday in 37.22 minutes. This is huge for me. Yes would love to be able to carve off all the excess and if I could my arms would be first. They are disgusting. But I doubt I would be able to have any of it due to cost. I don't post much but keep up with this thread always. Happy Zlosing everyone!!
  5. What all does the flex do? Do you wear it on your wrist?
  6. Do any of you have a Fitbit if so which one and how do you like it?
  7. I think everyone should be proud of their self no matter the number it's less than it was last year at this time. I wish I could say I wasn't hungry because I do get hungry. It just don't take much to fill me up. Congrats to all and the battle is keep going!?
  8. My starting weight was 244 on February 11, when I started I wanted to lose 100 pounds. I have lost 72 pounds. My weight loss is very slow now in the beginning I exercised a bunch I have not been exercising and need to get back at it. Looks like all is doing well.
  9. Today marks the 4 month post op I am down 68 pounds. Yay!! The pounds are getting slow go now but any is good.
  10. Here is some wise words to live by..... I am in competition with no one. I run my own race. I have no desire to play the game of being better than anyone, in anyway, shape or form. I just aim to improve to be better than I was before. That's me and I'm free......
  11. I am a punisher also I expect big big things. Truth is we have to be patient. Have you lost inches? I am 7 weeks out yesterday I lost 17 pounds before surgery and 26 since with a total of 43. My starting weight was 244 so I am so close to Onederland. I drank some wine this weekend and I went up a pound. Ugh!! I guess I deserve that. I do work out. Just hang in there it will come. I get scared mine isn't working also. I rarely have any problems and am always hungry 2 hours after I eat. Which my doc says is in my head. We all just have to be more patient I know but when you are eating less than 600 calories a day and working out I feel like it should just be falling off.
  12. No more 200s. I can't wait for that day.
  13. I should not be so greedy! My weight in the last 2 weeks is very slow. I knew it would slow down. You are doing great also. I don't comment much but read everyone's post. Keep up the hard work. I would rather lose slow and have plenty energy and feel good than feeling drained and week. I have no time to feel bad. Thanks!!
  14. Ok my surgery date was 2/11 I see all the big weight losses and I wonder what I am doing wrong. My beginning weight was 244 my surgery weight was 227 and now weigh 207. That is a total of 37 but only 20 since surgery. I have had a remarkably easy time no pain no problems. Other than eating healthy doesn't seem to fit in because just plain chicken is to dry so by the time you moisten it with whatever it's not as healthy as it should be. I eat very little I am sure less than 600 calories a day. Gees how do you get that big weight loss? I know I should be happy with my loss and I am but I would be happier with bigger numbers. Haha!!
  15. That poop is the key. I pooped yesterday after a week and I feel awesome I was never nauseas but the gas and everything is gone. I will tell you I am now hungry and have an appetite again.
  16. I am now 6 days post op other than getting all the fluids and protein in things are going well. No nausea and thank goodness I finally pooped today. I do have a little gas. No pain other than some headaches. I believe the key is get out and get moving. That will keep the depression at a minimum. Am I sluggish and a little weak? Yes. But I think as little nutrition I am getting that will be expected. I am not sue that's fixable yet there just is no room. I do plan to work at least a half day tommorow and I really hope that is doable. Just got to figure out the nutrition.
  17. Did you ever dream 1oz of water would be so hard? I really am so full all the time.
  18. I had surgery on the 11th I feel pretty good but find it extremely hard to get in all the water and still have room for other things. I have very little pain. So therefore I think I am doing good but I know I can't live on water alone. I keep looking at the bigger picture and know time will only make things better. I have not pooped yet but have passed plenty of gas. I try to take minimal pain meds as I would like to go to work on Monday. I am from Port Lavaca Texas. I lost 17pounds preop and now have lost 20 pounds. Some of yahs stories seem so scary I think mine has been pretty smooth. I hope all gets better soon. Good luck to all.
  19. I had surgery on Monday and am now home. I really don't want anything other than water. I have to get in 4oz of water an hour it is difficult. Feeling pretty well.
  20. Hello I am from Port Lavaca Texas my surgery date is tomorrow. Wow crazy nervous!
  21. My surgery date is also Monday. I have my pre op appointment tommorow and register at the hospital. I am also excited but a bit nervous. Good luck to both of you.
