July 1st and super stoked!!!

Today is day 2 of my 5 shakes and 5 servings of fruits and veggies. I have to do this until my preop appt one June 11th. I had a tiny bit of a meltdown yesterday at work because I was so stressed...and usually I sit down with a huge platter of grub and do work. Not last night!!! I dealt with my stress other ways and snacked on cherry tomatoes. I come on here a lot for encouragement also...so thank you everyone!! We can all do this!!

Yay! Mines also July 1st!!!

I got the word this morning that my surgery will be July 1st! I have been on the edge of my seat for days waiting for the exact day. Any other July surgerys?

Received an email from my surgeons RN and I'm having my gastric bypass in July. I'm so excited but bummed because I missed the June waiting list. I also didn't receive my exact date. Guess I should take it as a blessing...more time to prepare God bless everyone!

My surgery is right around the corner and I have never been so excited about anything in my life. This is going to open so many doors for me...let alone I have never truly known what it's like to be healthy...to feel healthy. I found out tonight that a friend of mine and my fiancé were discussing how they think its a horrible idea that I go on with the RNY. For the past 6 months I was being led to believe I had all of this support. In reality I don't. I'm hurt because this was done behind my back and I wasn't even there to defend my choice. Has anyone else gone through this? How did you deal with it? I feel like I want to give up the idea of surgery...but I've come so far and in my heart I know it's the right tool to help me.

That is some will power right there!!! I'm dreading my pre-op diet but reading how others have gotten through it really helps! Keep it up

I understand how you feel. I feel like as soon I jump through a hoop...there's 30 more to jump through! Hang in there though. It'll be sooo worth it
