I woke up to the best voice mail in the world today. I was scheduled for surgery for this Monday February 11th. (Due to a cancellation)It's so exciting. I get my upper GI and my labs done tomorrow and see the surgeon on Friday. Only Clear liquids the day before. I am so ready for this change and be healthy the rest of my life.
Best birthday present ever ( my birthday is tomorrow)
I know how you feel. I have been approved by insurance as well but the scheduler has not called yet. I think I am being obnoxious and am calling everyday, but this is life changing so I think I'm aloud to be a little obsessive.
Yay insurance called today and I was approved for surgery. Now just waiting for the doctors office to call to set a date. Ahh this may be the worst part of the whole process, the waiting game
Hey all,
I'm getting closer. I had my nutrition apt. On the 7th and submitted to insurance on the 10th I have not heard yet and I'm getting anxious. How long did it take for your insurances to approve and how long after that till u had surgery. I already cut out caffeine and high fat foods as well as have stopped taking and aspirin products to prepare. Anything else you guys can suggest I start doing now
Thanks for the help
Hello I have UHC just got a call from my surgeons office asking for me to send them more info about weight history. Do you think this is a good thing or a bad thing. 10 mins later I got a call from a UHC surgical nurse, asking me if I wanted to take advantage of a program covered by my insurance for pre op patients. Have anyof you had this happen. And do you think I'm on my way to be approved??
