Okay, I was banded on 2/27/07. Have lost 60 lbs or so. I really do want to have another baby and want to know what to expect with the band, port...fill/unfill???? What should I expect? Has any of you had any problems, concerns. Any information you can give me would be great. :thumbup:

I have had a really good experience with him and the people in the office. I had my surgery on 2/27/07 and have lost a total of 64lbs as of August 15. He isn't one for small talk, so if you are looking for someone to listen, listen, listen and then give you some advise, he is not the one. He is all business it seems. Which is fine with me. I have 2.5cc in my 10 band. I wish I would have known about this years ago. I am really happy now. I weigh 244lbs now and I am thrilled.:clap2: I won't lie, I am still hungry at times and want to just pig out on junk, but the band reminds me and my husband that I can't. It is definetly a mental challenge!!!! Let me know when you decided to have your surgery. I would do it tomorrow if I were you!! I look forward to seeing you at some support meetings. :huggie:

So far so good. I wasn't ready for all of the pain in the shoulder and the back that comes from the drugs of surgery. That is what hurt the most for me. The surgery part was the easy part. The only other problem that I had was with the tape they used around the incisions. I was allergic I guess and had hives around them. Finally went to my PC doc and had to get steriod shot as well as oral and cream to take care of the issue. Dr. Carter had never seen anything like that. People at the hospital were great. I had my surgery on a Tuesday and was back at work on Monday. I could have gone on Friday, but decided to stay home.:nervous I look forward to hearing from you and maybe seeing you at the support meetings. I do wish that they would change it to a different time of the month. The last week is always so busy for me. Take care and GOOD LUCK:clap2:

Are there any of you out there. Dr. Carter in Arlington did my surgery, but I live in Wax. Just curious. Don't see/hear from many of Carters patients??? :help:

I wanted to introduce myself to the Feb. Bandsters. My name is Shyla and I am a teacher in North Texas. I teach computers at the High School level. :cryPost-op weight was 306 on 2/27/07. First fill was on 5/31/07 was down 34lbs!!! :)I thought I was skinny now!!! or at least alot better health wise. Had my 2nd fill 6/5/07 to 2cc in a 10ccband and was down 53lbs. I have gone from a size 28 to a 20-22 depending on the brand of clothes. Took all of my larger clothes to the consignment shop. Got the letter today that they are worth $500 dollars:clap2:. Can't wait for them to sell so I can buy a couple of new items and maybe a membership to Curves. Finally found out what PB stood for. Have had a few problems with the second fill. Self inflicted by eating toooooo fast:whoo: I look forward to reading the forum and helping/supporting who I can and getting support as well.

New to this site!! Really like the information. I was banded on Feb. 27, 2007. Have lost 53 lbs so far. Have 100 to go!!! 2nd Fill 2cc. Having some issues with restriction/eating too fast... Not any other problems. LOVE MY BAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are there any of Dr. Carters patients from Texas????
