I just want some normalcy :-) Dec 15th New me and life begins

Just had the drain removed. Not very pleasant,actually made me nauseous. IV's are all out. Waiting for discharge paperwork then home I go. Little nervous about going home, did anyone else feel nervous? Although while I was here my baby girl, a black boxer, had 5 pups. My house has been in an uproar with my dogs and daughter missing me. Our cat went into hiding and is feeling neglected too. :-( I feel so bad for being away for almost 5 days. :-) Dec 15th New me and life begins

Dr said sailed right thru the surgery. Couldn't walk at first yesterday. I did sit quite a bit til nausea passed then was able to walk with a couple shots for nausea. Today when I'm awake I do have pain. But the pain pump is taking care of much of it. Especially when I remember to push the button. Just sipping when I'm awake. Had a sugar free popsicle. Tasted so good too. When I was waking up from anesthetic right after the surgery I barely remember, but I told dr I was hungry, lol then I fell asleep. Haven't felt hungry since :-) Dec 15th New me and life begins

The painkiller in the pump keeps me pretty darn sleepy. They will remove that tomorrow. So hopefully more energy tomorrow. :-) Dec 15th New me and life begins

Surgery yesterday. Couldn't walk yesterday w/o feeling nauseated. But walking today isn't a problem. Been passing some gas by belching. Sore but I think a lot of it is gas among with tenderness around lap Entry points. :-) Dec 15th New me and life begins

My Dr said if u can't get protein down and keep it down, make sure to get the water so u don't dehydrate. Other than that, sugar level like asked above. :-) Dec 15th New me and life begins

I am so sorry. I know this is hard but please don't take it personally. You are doing what is best for you and if she can't handle it that is her issue. If she truly is a friend she will come around, apologize for her bad behavior and accept the fact that you are doing this for you regardless of what those around you think. If she doesn't, then you held your friendship closer to you than she does and it wasn't unbreakable for such a little thing to break the friendship.
