  1. Shaunda: remember that guys always seem to lose more weight than women do within the same period of time. It is ridiculous cuz I swear it is doubled than what we can. My ex could just drop it quickly with no effort, where I had to work my a@@ off just to lose a little. My body hates to give it up:-( Gen :-) 12/15/12
  2. I do too. However, I don't avoid in milk (for cereal) and fruit. Even though those aren't processed sugars I still watch the sugar count. Gen :-) 12/15/12
  3. I look at the sugar but mainly the Protein. I track everything too. Since last surgery most days are scary to look at due to lack of food and protein. Gen :-) 12/15/12
  4. I believe it automatically changes w your weight for your weights requirements. However, I believe if you want to set the protein, fat, etc to your own settings online you can. Holy cow mine says 22/day now. If you watch it as your weight goes down, those #s will lower too. Gen :-) 12/15/12
  5. Omgoodness isn't it. I was doing so well before the last surgery and then after that 2nd surgery everything change. It was a bummer. So now I guess I will take it as it goes. Today I bought Special K Protein, yum, and settled well with my tummy. Gen :-) 12/15/12
  6. These are the only protein supplements I can handle. I would like to try syntrax nectar Fuzzy Navel but am scared of it being thick or milky. Does anyone on here use it? Gen :-) 12/15/12
  7. Too much heat, straight thru the night may not be good either. I have back issues and 1 thing I will never do is put a heating pad on it again. I made the mistake of putting a heating pad on it for about 40 minutes once and ended up with the most severe spasms for 24 hours I've ever had. I had to go to the ER spasms were so bad. Gen :-) 12/15/12
  8. I believe I found my problem w eating meats. Cold meats, I don't seem to have a problem w. However, once warmed such as turkey it reacts different. How odd. I'm sure it is one of those things that will change, hopefully. Gen :-) 12/15/12
  9. What mcg do you take everyday of biotin? Gen :-) 12/15/12
  10. I'm sorry to hear that. I would definitely ask your Dr again since you have new symptoms. Sorry that I don't have anything else for you :-( Thanks for your info MrsB. Gen :-) 12/15/12
  11. Wasn't doing it cuz stalled. Only cuz I'm have a difficult time handling food since hysterectomy and hospitalizations since. Sry misread, I get what you're saying. Gen :-) 12/15/12
  12. Tried some meat earlier for dinner and I chewed the heck out of it, took my time but I still got sick. I helped clean up after dinner and just the smell of the meat, ugh. I need to make an appt w my nut. I need help. Gen :-) 12/15/12
  13. Seriously thinking about going back to the basics: liquid diet. With this last surgery knocking me on my butt, while I'm still trying to recover, I'm not sure what else to do :-( Gen :-) 12/15/12
  14. I just remembered the Barilla Plus products has about 22g protein. I also read an article (not sure if its true). But after the pasta is cooked; if you soak it in milk for 3 minutes; some of the milk will be absorbed offsetting the sugar/carbs and adding protein. Just a bit of info I read and wanted to pass a long. Gen :-) 12/15/12
  15. Didn't know that about Fage yogurt. Will have to check it out :-) Gen :-) 12/15/12
  16. My dad lectured me cuz he saw how I ate while in the hospital. I told him I couldn't help it. Nothing tastes good except the fruit plates I ordered. I am having difficult time tolerating food. Gen :-) 12/15/12
  17. Quinoa has protein in it too. If you've never made it just make sure you rinse it very well before cooking. Gen :-) 12/15/12
  18. Release from hospital, kidney had went down in size some. Follow up ultrasound in 2weeks. Less pain in bladder, now more of pressure on the right side where the abscess was located. So move to be home. Gen :-) 12/15/12
  19. Since being here I've had about 7-8 bags of Antibiotic IVs run thru me. Now on oral antibiotics, yeah cuz I'm assuming might be discharged in a day or two. Yesterday one abscess was drained of 40CCs of fluid which was going for testing. My dad and aunt said my coloring in my skin was like day and night from the day I was admitted at this hospital. (I guess Thursday I was ghostly and Friday my complexion was back :-) ) I have an ultrasound being performed later today on my kidneys. So far all good news. Also now most of the time I go to the bathroom it doesn't make me burst out in tears of pain. Just alittle pressure not pain. So yippee :-) Much improvement. Yippee for everybody that had good news on Friday: Jodi on your great news on those ulcers :-) msixkiller and Teresa being taken off a lot of meds :-) Cyn's diagnosis for your reasons you've been nauseated and pain :-) Debbie for discovering the possible reason of NWL. That is great. So hopefully now it will drop very quickly :-) fingers crossed for you, lol. I hope I didn't miss anyone who had great news to share :-D Gen :-) 12/15/12
  20. I would like to know if its normal too. Only food I would care to eat is fresh fruit. Gen :-) 12/15/12
  21. Don't forget about papaya enzymes everyone. You can get them at Walmart, chewable. Really does help if something isn't sitting to well with your pouch. My daughter has even taken them when her dinner didn't sit right in her tummy. She loved that it helped her relatively quickly. Just an FYI :-) that it is mommy approved for my kiddo too, lol :-) Gen :-) 12/15/12
