My name is Candace Sanchez. I am a mother of six kids, grandma of two. I am happily married. I have weighed over 200 pounds since 1990. I just had the gastric bypass surgery a week ago after having the lapband for four years. I did lose 60 pounds. Anywho, I ended up having 3 surgeries because of blood clots and obstructions. I am so swollen I came out of the surgery 30 pounds heavier which I assume is all water weight. I was in the hospital for 7 days and was given 4 pints of blood. I was a pin cushion as well. Finally, I am home. I have been home from the hospital for about a week now and I am waiting for this water weight to drop off. I am still in a lot of pain and had to take two extra weeks off of work which was unexpected. However, here I am excited that the surgery is over and I am slowly recovering and going to look forward to the new me!
