  1. Oh and Gen, I got the striiv app! Add me, Jodi Welch.
  2. That is soo awesome isn't it? To think that your body was carrying all that around? Wait till you lose 100! (If you have that much to lose, maybe you don't) I know I was blown away by a 25 pound bag of dog food. I've lost almost 2 of those and I was thinking "no wonder I didn't feel good and I had hbp, etc." Eye opener!
  3. Hey, wondering if any of you are having trouble with the portions of food and measuring it out and such. For example, I'm supposed to have 3 oz of tuna for dinner, 22g protein. I'm allowed to mix it with light mayo and spices, but since that adds more volume, wouldn't I be getting less protein than that? Grr! I'm really struggling with all the math and measuring everything all the time. Anyone have any tips to share or anything you do to make this easier?
  4. I can completely relate. They tell you not to overstuff yourself. Well, when I get anywhere near close to my goals, I'm over stuffing myself I feel. The only way I do well is with those disgusting protein shots! But someone said to mix them with flavored sugar free jello, so I'm gonna try that. This is tough, but trial and error I guess.
  5. Oh my Simply Southern!! So sorry to hear this!! You have been such a trooper! Keep your head up and please let us know how you make out when you can. Prayers and hugs to your and your family.
  6. Umm, yeah!! I mean, the miracle of birth and all that jazz, but periods SUCK!! And some guys wonder why we can get bitchy!! Lol.
  7. I know it!! I would usually get this back pain a day or two before my period, but since my period seems to be playing games, the back pain is hanging around. And I have no muscle relaxers, just stretches to do. They do help, but after a few days it's hella annoying! Lol. I never wanted my period to come this bad! Oh, well, that's a lie. But you know what I mean!
  8. I haven't lost in a week either!! I have been having period symptoms since last week and no dice! My back is killing me, I can barely walk, so no exercise and probably retaining fluid! I hate hormones!!
  9. Girls, I'm wondering what the hell is going on with this too!! My bariatric doc referred me to my gp, so seeing her on Thursday. And I don't mean to be totally gross, but do any of you notice an odor? I might have a uti or a bacterial infection but if it's just from surgery and other people are experiencing it too, I wouldn't worry so much. Plus, I'm due for my period any day now and have had such awful cramps for about a week now but no bleeding.. I'm a mess downstairs! Lol.
  10. Right?!? That's one if those things that make absolutely NO sense. Even if they figure 2 people don't use buns with their dogs, you can still make a sandwich with them! Geez!! Lol.
  11. Ahaha!! Maybe I will. Then he'll think I've definitely lost it. Lol.
  12. Quick!! I see the dr and the nut at 10a, any questions you guys want me to ask? Lol. I'll just add them to my list.
  13. You aren't failing!! You're just experiencing difficulties! Lol. I am too. Some days go by and I just don't get it all in. I have been making more of an effort because they say at 3-4 months out the lack of nutrition begins to show with hair loss, etc. But when you see your doc tell him the problems you're having. I'm sure he's heard it all and there's got to be a way to help you! We are all here for you anyways! Let us know how your appt goes!!
  14. It's Biotene and I'm thinking about trying it too!!
  15. I can look when I get home from work, but it's plain Greek so it's much higher in protein.
  16. Yeah, you could. And that gives me a good idea...I've been craving ice cream, so maybe I'll freeze some of my yogurt. Yummmmmyy!!
