  1. Excellent Feedback! I am 5.5 weeks our and have lost approx. 15 lbs. I revised from lap band to RNY on 11-13-12. Lost almost 10 pounds in 2 weeks and then crawled the next 2 weeks. I know it is hard to not compare yourself to others but everyone is correct when they say we are all different. My pre-op wt. was: 208. I am only 20 lbs. away from my doctors goal now. I guess people are right about losing more wt. (and faster) if you have more to lose. Just keep logging and staying on track. It will pay off in the end. I'm sure you have noticed several inches gone right? As for me...I feel very happy with the fact that my glucose level is normal and that I am no longer on any meds.
  2. Looks like your progress has been really good. Thanks for your feedback. What do you keep your calories, carbs and protein at this far out?
  3. Thank you so much. I just thought it would be different. I am only 20 lbs. pounds from my doctors goal (175) and then 10 more will put me at a normal BMI. How many carbs and calories and protein should I be consuming at this point?
  4. Had my revision (Band to RNY) 5 weeks ago. Lucky to not have had too much pain or complications. Thanks to God! But.... I don't have any noticeable restriction. I have lost some weight but not as much as I thought I would. 1st 2 weeks - 10 lbs. down. next 3 - 4 weeks were very slow! Maybe a pound or so each week? ??? I log everything on MFP and am sticking to 45 carbs and 600 calories per day! I know my pouch must be way bigger than an ounce or two. I think I can hold at least a cup or more! I notice I am losing inches but it is very depressing that I am sticking to a really strict diet and not losing any actual weight! What is the normal weight loss expected after a month out? I am at about 15 pounds. I am worried that if I have this much room in my stomach right now, what will it be like in a year?
  5. Thank you so much! I really struggled with the decision but I had to consider my health first. I am excited but very scared at the same time. I hope your surgery goes well and I hope to hear a wonderful success story afterwards! Will you be having the band reomoved and the revision in the same srgery?
  6. I, too, originally considered the Sleeve. I have just been approved for the RNY an am looking at mid November for surgical date. Have you had your surgery yet? How are you doing?
  7. Hi! I have had LapBand since 2007. I lost approx 35 pounds and kept it off. I am having some complications and my surgeon recommends a revision. Has anyone out there revised from Band to RNY? What kind of results did you see? I am leaning towards the Sleeve but I am Diabetic and would like to have that added benefit of not being Diabetic right away. Any feedback is welcome! Thanks
