I know this probly sounds bad but here goes.... from the start my family has been very supportive of my choice to have this RNY surgery and has been very involved with all my apps and stuff ((like wanting to know EVERYTHING)) & now that my surgery is monday and I am so stressed and full of emotions as it is I find out that most of them want to be at the hospital with me..... And it might sound mean but this is my time for me I don't want to be stressed out by constant visitors I just want it to be me and my hubby and more than likely my mom ( I am the only child and dad passed away when I was 6) so I can't say no to her but how do I tell the others to stay away without sounding rude or mean because I know they are just trying to be supportive

Hey my surgery is monday and my bag is packed ... I have metal free scrunchies for my hair (because no metal in the operating room) and hair brush, my toothbrush and toothpaste, my deodorant, I have my sports bra and underwear, I have my loose fuzzy pj bottoms, and non skid socks for walking the halls, and I also got a loose tank top and cut the top of the strap and put buttons on them so I could slide it on over my legs like pants up to my top and then button it so it dosent effect my IVs.. That way no hospital gown and I also got a very loose tshirt and sweat pants and house shoes to wear home, and I am bringing a book and 2 stuffed animals that my kids wanted me to bring

Good luck to everyone having their surgeries today I will be praying for a quick and full recovery and I can't wait to join ya'll on the losers bench in 4 days

I have to say I am extremely lucky my family is very supportive ((at least the ones that matter)) & my hubby is my rock he is 200% supportive he tells me every day how much he loves me the way I am and how lucky he is to have me and he wants me to do the surgery for me not him he says he cant stand to see me get upset about my weight

I had the same problem with my chocolate bariatric advantage shakes so my dietician told me to order a powdered dehydrated Peanut Butter called "PB2" off of amazon or some local outdoor stores carry it then add 2 tbl spoons of it to your shake and it makes it taste like a reeses peanut butter cup yummy lol
