Lol. Well hopefully I'll be posting a happy birthday wish for your hubby from my recovery room. And you know, I can't even be mad at the dr office. It's the Aetna nurse/case worker that's slacking. I'm more upset that my friends/family made arrangements so they could be here for me and now this. I'll start fresh next Sunday with the pre-op diet. I grubbed tonight! I just got a call today at 4pm that I they have to reschedule my surgery to the 20th because the nurse handling my case is off and hasn't sent the final authorization. I'm so upset...and hungry. I start my 2 day liquid diet tomorrow. Surgery is on Tuesday morning and I have to say, I'm feeling pretty zen about it. Just cleaning up the house today and tomorrow. I'm going to do every piece of laundry I can find so I don't have to worry about it. Post-op meds are ready. Mother and best friend are coming in tomorrow. So far everything is running smoothly. I only have to do a two day bowel prep liquid diet right before the surgery. No weight to lose before hand. I think that depends on your initial weight and how difficult (or not) the dr feels it could be getting around in there. In "obese" patients (most of us) the liver is enlarged. It sits next to or in top of the stomach which could be a danger. Obviously, they want to avoid as many complications as possible. Sent from my iPhone using RNYTalk

Hey, everyone! I haven't posted much but I've been keeping up with everyone through my emails. You all are such an amazing group. So supportive. Best wishes to everyone on their way in and speedy recovery to those coming out! I had my pre-op today. It went well. Biggest surprise? Found out I'll be recovering in a luxury hotel suite. LOL Sweet. I'm almost more excited for that. To those already on the bench, thanks for keeping us posted. I'll do the same when my turn comes around (13th). I also saw some posts about what folks are drinking. Crystal Light has some great new ( to me) flavors: Mojito, Margarita, and Appletini to change it up a bit. YUM!!! Yay for Appletini.
