Wow your lucky.. I wonder why some surgeons require the diet and others don't. My surgeon told me its to shrink our liver and make the surgery safer. I start my diet today ...2! Weeks of fun.... I still have to cook for my family which stinks, plus holloween with 3 small kids... I don't want to think about it. Sent from my iPad using RNYTalk

I'm nervous, as the surgery date gets closer...,why is it that now that I'm about to get my surgery some of my family members are like you are not that big haha. I hate when people say you are not that big to be getting the surgery! I'm 5'1" and 221 , so how big is big when I'm 300 pounds and can't walk????? I have 3 young kids 2, 7 and 11. I want to be healthier for them and of course me.... I don't have too much support from my family, my husband is there for me at least! Thank God for this support group ... Thank you I'm so happy to be getting my surgery, I'm nervous and excited! I'm glad I can share my journey with all of you.... This is a great group ....I'm not looking forward to the liquid diet either ,... It will be worth it in the end , Congratulations to all of us who have surgery dates and we are routing for me!

Thank you Jessica I so appreciate it.... My husband thinks I'm going to get some kind of infection and die, i know the surgery is with risk... Life is no not without risks... When he rides his motorcycle he is taking a risk.... I'm trying to explain this to him.... My hospital has a 5 star rating and I did my research... I try to talk to him but he closed me out ...I'm praying that he wil Come around...make matters worse my dad is against it too grrrrr. I just don't understand... They don't want to go o a seminar or hear any info on it... I have been struggling with my weight my entire life...my dad always calls me fat and thinks I don't try hard enough....mi can go on and on lol.... When is ur surgery date? I'm happy for you. I know the feeling I struggled with my weight my whole life! After havin 3kds I blew up. I'm 221 and 5'1". I thought about this surgery for a few years but I always convinced myself I could Lose the wight in my own, lost 10 and gained 20 ! I met with my surgeon already ."..
