  1. Well, I came home from the hospital last night. I decided to trust what my Doctor suggested and went through with the RNY. They say I am doing well. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed with everything ( which they told me I would) and I am trying to get in my liquids. I really am struggling with this today. I had IV fluids in the hospital that helped me a lot. I am trying my best at getting in some jello right now. Thanks for all of the supportive words!
  2. Well, my surgery is tomorrow! I am so excited and am getting really nervous now too. I had been planning on getting VSG for the past 6 months. At my preop appt. 2 weeks ago, my surgeon highly suggested that I consider RNY based on some medical issues and some social issues as well. My head has been spinning for the past 2 weeks trying to figure out exactly which surgery to get. And being on a liquid diet during this time hasn't helped one bit... lol I have researched and read as much as I could. I have talked to everyone I know that has had bariatric surgeries. I wish I had a crystal ball to tell me what is best. Has anyone else been in this position? Any words of wisdom?
