  1. That i can go for the operation alone? Ie with out my husband? There are a few reasons that i want to go alone - one is that I live over 4 hours from the hospital, and would have to leave my home in the middle of the night to get to the hospital for 7am. And with 3 young kids at home - and no family to help i dont know that would happen. Another reason is that my husband would be useless ! Lol. He would either be to stressed out to help - about the op or too stressed out about his crops ( hes a framer and its the planting season now which is very important) having him sitting around( and probably on his phone all of the time) would make me feel more stresses out . He wants to come but i would prefer he came one the second day ... Am i crazy? The hosital is a private hosptal (but paid for by the" platinum" national health care option here in israel) with a very high ratio of nurse's to patients. Has anyone else done it alone too? My surgeon said it would perfectly ok to do it without some to help... What do you all think?
  2. Just got my operatiom date confirmed! Ypeeeee . It will be on the 5th of september. I had my lapand way back in - 2004 and hated every day of it. I never lost much, suffered from relux and vomitting and even finding it hard to breath. i hope that life will be alot better afterwards.
  3. Hi! Im waving hello from israel but im orginally from england. I have my op - lapband to bypass - for the 5th september with Dr spivak who used to be on Houston
  4. Hi, i am too a "bander" who hand problems and with very little weight loss. I had the band emptied about 4 months ago, knowing that will firstly let me breath eat and drink better- aswell as being helpful to having it removed and have the gastric bypass in the same operation. My doc still said that even though all my check tests look good- that there is still a chance of having to do the operation in two parts like your's . It all depends on what he finds when goes in side My date for the op is on the 5th of september.. Hopefully!
