  4. Why is state insurance and how would I get info on that?

  7. I have to do a 2 week liquid diet. I did one week then my surgery was canceled bc of a sinus infection. It was very hard! I like the " oh yeah " protein drinks. They are good. The vanilla and chocolate so I bought a case of them on amazon it was cheapest there. I can also do broth, cream based low fat soups and blend out so there's no chunks and they were good too. I also had the sf jello which wasn't so bad but I didn't like the sf Popsicles. I did make a smoothie of low fat yogurt low fat milk a banana and a scoop of vanilla protein. Blended it up and it was good too. Hope this post helps some.
  8. I was suppose to have my surgery this Monday. Well I have a horrible sinus infection and strep throat UGH! So my surgery for Monday was canceled. Now I have to wait to get it rescheduled again and because of work it won't e until layer on in March now. I'm getting laid off in 2 weeks so I have to wait until after that to do my surgery. I had already done 1 week of a 2 week liquid diet so in a couple weeks I will have to start all over again. I almost thought this was a sign and I told the dr that I no longer wanted the surgery. Then I realized how badly I wanted my life back so I decided I have it again. I think I was just an emotional wreck from not eating, getting sick and nervous about the surgery. Stay strong everyone and good luck to you all. I'm glad to see the post ops are doing well and I will update you guys on my new surgery date when I get. That 2 week liquid diet is no joke.

  10. I'm having the hardest time myself with this. It's terrible.
  11. I am on a 2 week liquid only diet pre op. 90 g of protein and 1,000 calories of liquid to intake. I find that the "oh yeah" protein shakes are good. I do not like the isopure at all!!!!!!! I made a smoothie tonight. Low fat strawberry yogurt, scoop of vanilla protein powder and a banana. Blended it up and was pretty tasty. It's not easy at all. I'm hungry and want to eat something even low fat. But dr said no. Liquids only for this 2 weeks. He says it makes the liver smaller and makes the surgery more technically easier for him.
  12. I'm having the hardest time with this 2 week liquid pre op diet. I am exhausted and feel terrible. I barely get my 1,000 calories in but I do get my 80 g of protein in. Any help would be great. Thank you.
