  1. My surgeon told me to give up coffee for two reasons: 1) caffeine is a diuretic and we need to be careful about keeping ourselves hydrated. 2) coffee is acidic. It can hurt our new pouch and cause discomfort. I used to drink 5-6 cups a day and now I don't drink it regularly at all. If I do crave coffee, I get a small decaf and then sip slowly.
  2. I started right when I got home from the hospital. It's the only way to get all the protein we need in one day!
  3. I use the brand Any-Whey. It's great! I add it to V8 lite fruit juice. No grit or aftertaste. I just ordered the Unjury brand and am excited to taste the chocolate.
  4. The same thing happened to me. I was plateaued for a while and then joined a gym. The weight is coming off again. I do weigh myself everyday. I find that if I don't get all my water and protein in everyday, then my body won't release fat. So exercise, drink water and get all your protein in and you will be fine. My surgery was on 6/6/12 and I am down 50 pounds so far. 100 more to go!!!
  5. Sandwich MA on Cape Cod. My surgeon is Dr. Streeter
