  1. I'm close to you guys too! I'm 91 lbs down. Surgery was 12/17. It's so amazing how great I feel. Awesome job to you both and everyone!!!
  2. I think 3 weeks is pushing it especially food wise. Your not going to be able to eat much. Your options are limited and it may make for a not so fun vacation. I would say wait 6 months. You'll be down 80+ pounds by then and will have a handle on eating. Just my opinion. I went to Disney last month and I was 4 months post op and down 85 lbs then. Food was easy to handle.
  3. Thank you! We are going to look awesome together!
  4. My daughter had to take a picture of me! Changing so much!
  5. Try these vitamins from procarehealth.com 1 a day chewable bariatric vitamin $10 a bottle. I've been taking for 4 months now and my nutritionist approved. http://www.procarenow.com/Chewable-One-A-Day-Bariatric-Multi-Vitamin--30-ct_p_10002.html Nicole
  6. It takes a bit to get used to. You have to increase your protein and water over the weeks. You won't reach the limits so soon. Follow your nutritionist guidelines as to what foods you can eat. Look at (theworldaccordingtoeggface) website fore food ideas. Hope this helps. I did two Protein shakes a day for a long time to get my protein in. Now I do one a day.
  7. So with that said, I think your choice is obvious. RNY!!! as long as your having it laparoscopic, recovery isn't that long. I was back driving a bus at 3 weeks.
  8. I made sure I brought a lot of Snacks in. I found they offer a kids turkey sandwich on whole wheat goldfish bread with lettuce and tomato. I added mayo and came with apple slices for a later snack. I only ate 3/4 of sandwich. I refused to spend 9 bucks on a salad that I would only eat 1/4 of it. I also was able to have the no sugar added strawberry Popsicle too. I brought with me the Syntrax nectar packets to add to Water. Lemonade, fuzzy navel, iced tea etc etc. yummy
  9. Congrats! Your doing awesome!
  10. Well I'm back from Disney! Fit on airplane and all the rides! Yessss! I even lost 4.4 lbs while on vacation. I tried a glass of white wine and just two sips and I was buzzed. I'm the lightweight now. Lol
  11. For food that gets stuck especially chicken, pick up some papaya enzymes and chew 2. Helps the stuck food pass. You can get these at any vitamin store.
  12. Don't mix the shake until you get through security. You have to buy water on the other side. I had 14 packets of protein shake and all my nuts too. They are concerned with liquids. Once you pass through buy a water and shake away. Glad I could help.
  13. I'm waiting for a plane to arrive home from vacation. I bought syntrax nectar singles protein shakes for airplane. They mix with water. I got lemonade, iced tea, fuzzy navel a bunch of variety singles. Also individual packages of almonds made by emerald. Protein bar by think thin chunky peanut butter. Hope this helps.
  14. Fit in airplane seat and no extension. Excess seat belt left over. LOOK!
  15. Do you take prescription Zantac since surgery? I take it every morning for reflux. Did you call doctor? How did you make out?
