Well my doc office called Friday to set up the date. I will have mt sx on Aug 13th. I can't wait! Little nervous cause it is set in stone now! I was talking to my mom last night ans said " get everything in order cause you only have 3 weekends to get everything in order"! That was a huge wake up call on how soon it will be! Now I have so many small questions.

OMG!!! My insurance approved the surgery!!! But......... I am so impatience that I called my insurance and asked. The doc office has to have in writing. I went to doc last wed and he said that i was a great candidate for the surgery. I cant wait it will prob be next mth though. But hey that is just around the corner. Just to throw this out.... My PA Jody said that with the rapid weight loss you can have problems with your hair dalling out and she started me on otc bition it is a Vitamin that helps with the health of hair, nails and skin. I have been taking for a week now and my nails are hard as steel. Crazy right!!!

Had my appt today. Next step is sx day set up and pre op. Wait on ins!!!! UGGG! i hate waiting.

I will most def update. The hospital i am having surgery at has a weight loss program and i have been in touch with the head lady on and off since a yr ago. I asked her what to expect and she daid i would go over food with dietician and do weight measurements and the over to doc and his PA and he does a full exam. History and other things Go over options ask ask questions. And then my insurance will be requested and go from there. I am excited and nervous at the same time.

I have my first appointment Wednesday. Said would take 2 hrs. I am very nervous. That wont set date till ins is approved. I hope that doesn't take to long.

No they just ask if your reg pcp is on board cause they will need to know you had sx and also keep up with anymeds if you are in any. Every thing medically changes. Call your insurance and see jf it was approved you should know from your surgeons off by now

Oh my gosh Lynn u are so right. I am now 30 days smoke free and I know I can never start back up. I don't want to be diabetic with high blood pressure killing me faster. I want to live longer. I have been fat pretty much forever I don't care about that appearance ( which of course it is a plus) it is the health issues that will resolve. That is the main reason I am doing it. I went into huge depression last time I was working for this and the new insurance did not cover it. All I could think was that how many years they are taking from me for not covering this procedure. It was really hard to swallow!

Saturday was the worse. If I keep this up I will be 20-30 lbs before my sx date. I need to start back my protine shakes for breakfast it helped me maintain.

It is sad but I just haven't talked to her about it. She is doing this group with church called running for God. I work for orthoaepidic docs so she was asking about support for her ankles. I gave her info and told her I was proud of her for doing it. I have supported her in even the worst of decisions. I have always told her I may not like it but I would be there for her with any thing. I know she will be ok with it because it will happen. I told her we I needed her to keep me accountable before to keep me working out. She said she would. We will see. My husband and family are 100% for it. That keeps me 100% positive.

I know i am meeting the doc for the first appointment to vet started with the surgery July 11th. But i am eating EVERYTHING in site. And lots of it. I need to get a better handle on this. It is like i feel that i know i won't be able to do this later. This isn't any kinda self control! Did anyone else do this? I have prob put on 10lbs in the last mth

My surgeon will not so surgery unless you are 100% smoke free foe 90 days. He test u when u go in the hospital and if you have nicotine in your system he will send you home the day of surgery. I have been smoke free for 27 days now. I have been an on and off smoker for years. I quite cold turkey. Having mouth fixation problems this time around but it is worth it. I am not passing this up for a smoke.

I just got the phone call from my surgeons office. I am set up for my first appointment to see Dr Hata. July11th.

The protine shake for the pre op what is the best one. I have been doing Herbalifetea for a while now will that work or not clear enoughf?

I cant wait for all this to happen. I am glad I found this now will give me good support befor the surgery.
