  1. I've been very emotional lately and when I started all my Pre-Op appointments and planned the surgery it seemed like the perfect timing to do so I had just turned 30 and my health was horrible my diabetes was unmanagable, my high blood pressure was out of control and my depression was at an all time low and this surgery gave me hope for a healtier better future but the past couple months have been super rough and my stress level is off the charts, having to deal with an unsupportive husband, an out of control teen son and a 7yr old son with type 1 diabetes, sometimes makes me question myself " am I making the right choice, is this the right time?" are these feelings normal or is feeling guilty something that everyone goes through on some level?
  2. I am a few months into my journey and 16 days away from my Roux-en-y Gastric Bypass surgery. I am currently a week into my all liquid optifast diet and that so far has been the hardest part for me to this point, not being able to eat but still having to me the wife/mother who cooks meals, makes lunches etc. I am both nervous and excited to get my surgery done so I can start my newer healthier lifestyle and hopefully rid myself of my diabetes and high blood pressure. I hope to meet a few people who have been through what I am going through, so I can have a better idea of what the future holds after gastric bypass surgery from someone who has been.
