  1. Hi Everyone, We did it!! Had my surgery at 9:30AM and everything went smoothly. I couldnt believe how round and hard my belly was! Thank God my gas is breaking up. Ive been waking up in the middle of the night finding it difficult to take deep breaths because my ribs hurt. Anyone else experiencing this?
  2. Maria, Sooverit, Debi717 and all of you well wishers, Thanks for all of your kind words!! I was thinking of you all while in the hospital. My experience? EVERYONE was caring and professional. The nurses were very attentive. the anesthesiologist terrific(with a great personality, too) and Dr. Ren-love her!!! My operation was only 41 min. They told me my liver was small so I must have been doing something right. The gas was extremely uncomfortable, my stomach was distended to the max! It felt like a giant beach ball! Breathing deep was difficult probably because of the Co2 pressing against my lungs during surgery. I got up to walk around the hallways quite a few times. The gas has been breaking up and breathing is gradually becoming easier. The incisions are a little sore, and I will be removing the bandages today. Need to rest for awhile. Take good care of yourselves!!!!:girl_hug::girl_hug::girl_hug::clap2:
  3. I am starting to get nervous. Afraid I will not be able to sleep. Will leave at 5:30AM to be at NYU at 7:00AM. Keep the faith -We will all come out of it beautifully!!! Looking forward to hearing from everyone post op!!!:notagree:girl_hug::confused:

  5. I am just finishing up my last carbonated drink now. I have not been nervous up until about 2 hours ago. AHHHH!!!! My drive should not be more than 1:15,so I will leave around 5:30 AM. Our doctors require us to remain overnight. They are the best and want to cover all bases. Better for us! Maybe you can wait to reward yourself in a swanky hotel a couple of weeks after surgery so you can really do it right! Sending positive vibes your way. Keep up the good work!!!!!:girl_hug::car::whoo::clap2::girl_hug::nervous:)

  13. Hi Sooverit, I have appt with gyn on Aug 10, pre-op appt on Aug 20 and surgery scheduled Aug 27,if all goes well. This, coupled with the fact I am moving on Aug 15, is exhausting! Truth is- I am better under pressure, and it is a relief to have something else to concentrate on!! I need to keep reminding myself that I am only responsible for the footwork, not the outcome, and keep plugging away. How is your journey coming along? I hope you are maintaining peace of mind.:eyebrows: LIGHT:)

Snowangle, would you be willing to share how you got the leak and what will be done about it? Also-trying to set myself up with some positive/healthy activities rather than emotional eating. Any suggestions? LIGHT ER NYC
