  8. I have a "break out day" some Sundays, which is also my weigh-in day. On Sundays I will eat something I missed or just be more relaxed about what I eat and drink. This helps me to stay focused the rest of the week. I will tell myself, I can have that on Sunday and then most of the time I'm not in the mood for it anymore anyway, come Sunday ... lol :-)

  11. Freedomfighter. What do you eat yo consume 100g of protein and only 20-25g carbs? I am struggling with this and could use some advice! Thanks! I count my net carbs (that is carbs minus the fiber) and protein and not calories. Calories count but you dont have to count them. I eat high protein meals with veggies. I love cheese and will eat a variety of cheeses as a snack or in a cheese salad. I have noticed i loose better on slightly higher fat /protein diet as it keeps me full for longer. Then on Sundays I have whatever i like, obviously not in big quantities. Luckily my smaller stomack assist in this. Then Monday through Saturday I stick to my plan and exercises. This works for me, but every one does what works for their body. So if you want to try this and it works for you too, let me know. Just keep going and dont give up. We will succeed this time around. We have all the tools we need. we will have the victory over this extra weight that has weighed us down for too long. I'm taking control and let this new stomack work for me :-)

  13. You have done great! Really.I had my surgery same time as you (7 months ago) and the past 3 months have been slower. i've started jogging and eat 20g-25g of carbs most days. what has been working for me, is that on Sundays i eat whatever i want and whatever I have been craving the rest of the week. I will have a glass of wine and eat more carbs, but on monday im back with 100g Protein, 20-25g carbs, enough fluids etc. To have one day of little freedom made the world of difference to me, as it helps me to stay focused the rest of the week, because I know I can have it on Sunday. Hope this tip can help you to get back on track :-)

  15. Something I find more and more unusual, is that certain food that I used to enjoy as comfort food is loosing there apeal... they just don't taste as good as they used to. Sometimes that is frustrating as I want to enjoy them at that moment and then the experience is so dissapointing. I realised I have emotional conections to these carbs and need to work through this, but im not sure how to fill this void now..

  20. I can drink 500ml of any liquids in 30minutes. Can anyone else drink this much in one sitting, is it too much....I suppose liquids run through quickly and thats why Im able to drink a lot. I have no trouble getting my fluids in, in a day. Im in my 7th week post op. I am really enjoying my sleeve now. Its so nice to talk to you guys and know we are all in the same boat. Love chatting to you :-)
  21. "Happy Saturdays"....Yes yes yes! I take it easy on Saturdays. I would still make sure to take in all my protein, but after my meal I would have something I ve been craving during the week. My trick is to have the protein first and then the treat. There are 2 reasons why I have the protein first. 1. then there is not so much space left to have too much of the treat and 2. my blood sugar wont go sky high from the treat because I had my portion of protein first.
  22. My doctor said no beer but I can have some wine here and there after 1 month post op. I had 100ml of red wine which was so yummy.I sipped it slowly and I felt somewhat normal again...lol. Before surgery I used to love cider, which is similar to beer, but lighter. Maybe I will wait until Im a few months out, before trying it. Im 5weeks post op today. I have lost 28lbs so far. I had some high quality chocolate to Celebrate...
  23. How on earth did you manage to loose 84lbs in 4 months? Please please tell me..
  24. Is it okay to have a little bit of cider here and there or is it too much soda? Has any one drank some cider? Please share your thoughts and or experience...
  25. Oh my word this is so freaking funny... I take it easy on weekends.Last Saturday, after my weekly weigh in, I had 100ml of red wine (yummy , plus I felt fine..not even light headed) and later after dinner, I had one block of chocolate.. mmmmmm
