Thank you sooooo much.. Should I get something for gas?

Hi everyone. My surgery is December 30 and I need your help.. Please tell me what I should take with me at the hospital.... Also, even though I don't have to do a liquid diet, I wanna know whys some good protein shakes I can try that are tasty since I am not a shake person.. Also what should I take for gas, stomach/throat growling etc.. Please give me some idea what I should buy. Need to buy them tomorrow. Your help will be appreciated...

Hi online buddies, 9 days from today, I am about to have my dream come true. Last year, my sis did it and I told myself that I would never ever do it... One day on October I wanted to wear my favorite pants to work and they didn't fit. I was soooo upset and mad at myself... I said eff this I need to get this surgery. This was the beginning of October. I went through so much just to find an insurance that will cover it. Finally my dads insurance worked. Then the process was just hectic and took a lot of time. Working full time and being a full time student it ain't easy. Then the second obstacle was my cardiologist did not want to approve me until I do thousands of exams since I had heart surgery... She finally cleared me lol... Then my BMI was a 37 and the only thing that I had is high blood pressure but don't take medications for it...the surgeon told me that I might to get approved bc of this... Heart broken.....well, my docs were submitted on the 10th of October and I was approved on the 18th.., I have BCBS of nj btw. Then I read here how people kept saying how much money they had to pay out of pocket which scared me... I called the hospital admission and she said I have to pay 2800$ for the whole thing... Omg I was shocked of how cheap it was ????..... I had to pay 1000$ deductible right away and the rest are 12 month payment free interest..... Omg omg omg I still can't believe it... I am being excited and not nervous at all.... Even though I don't have to do a liquid diet before the surgery, I am going to start next week

I just called the hospital. My total out of pocket is 2800$ which is nothing omg and I just paid my 1000$ deductible and the rest is monthly payment for 12 months free interest. I am beyond thankful and happy

Since my BMI was a 37, 200lbs my coordinator said I might be declined since the insurance nurse (bsbs of nj) called to ask if I was on medications for my high blood pressure.. My documents were sent last Tuesday and guess what? I was approved yesterday I was driving to work at 8am and I was so upset and tired since I had finals all week... I was like let me just call the insurance since I did call every day lol.. The same lady answered the phone, she was sooo lovely.. And she remembered me too ahaha it was funny. She goes honey you are APPROVED!! I had to pull over bc I thought I was going to pass out.. Ohh my car had a blue tooth so both hands on the steering wheel .... Anyways I started crying because this is my new year resolution and I've been working so hard to get everything the insurance requires while I worked full time and taking 5 classes. So now I got my approval, finished the semester yesterday and now I'm getting ready for my surgery since it's on December 30 I am sooo happy guys.. Like I still think it's not true like really me? Me? Ahhh couldn't sleep all hight.. So here comes the part that I need your help!!!!! If I have $1000 deductible that I have to pay and 20% co-insurance, what do you think I will have to pay before surgery? Please help. I wanna plan in advance. I AM FUCKING APPROVED as of this morning. Omg I am soooooo happy.. It took BCBJ of NJ 8 days including weekends. Yay ya ya my dream is about to come true omg I have been crying happy tears since this morning. Ahhhhh. Now I can take my finals in ease

Grr still waiting to get approved by the insurance . Everything was submitted last Tuesday and I am hoping I get an answer soon since my surgery is 2 weeks from today!!! Please please please pray for me !!!!

I called the insurance today and their bariatric nurse is review my case and should have an answer by Monday. Please please please pray for me....... I am sooo nervous

Good luck everyone. I just called the insurance to check the status and they said it was too soon for me to call haha oh well. I'll probably give them a break tomorrow but I will def call Friday for SURE!!

I couldn't sleep all night. Since my paper work was submitted to the insurance yesterday, all I've been doing is think... If I continue to have sleepless nights until approval, I will be in big trouble since my finals are next week!

Ok guys I need your help. Since today my file was submitted to the insurance, I thought it will be a good time for me to tell my job. Well my boss was so worried and I felt bad. I don't want to tell him I'm having the sleeve but I want to tell him a procedure that won't me look like I'm dying or Something lol

Hi pals, I've been so busy with work, school & completing my pre surgery stuff that I didn't get a chance to check in. So please please please pray for me since everything is being forwarded to my insurance today. I am excited and happy. I wrote a nice letter to them since my BMI is a 37. My surgery is December 30 and I cannot wait until that day arrives . Hope everyone is doing ok.

Wahhhh I want December 30 to be already. I am so happy for those who are having the surgery tomorrow. I am excited for you all. I started my process in October and all I have left is the nutritionist appointment that's tomorrow. I am hoping to get my papers for approval by next week. Soo nervous for that part. I just want to start my life all over again.. Can't wait for that day. I have a wedding in May and there are people I haven't seen in years that they will be shocked to see me skinny. Waiting impatiently. Not nervous at alllllllll
