  1. Excited to say I found a gym in Thornton that specializes in personal and group training for bariatric patients. I just started with them this week and was so happy to be working out with a group on the same journey. There were bypass, sleeve and lap band patients, some had surgery as long as 8-9 years ago and others like myself in the last year. HW- 261 SW- 252.6 CW- 200
  2. There are support groups at St. Joseph's, Good Samaritan, Sky Ridge, Parker Adventist and Rose.
  3. Do you track your food diary on My Fitness Pal? My surgery was 10/22/13, my HW 260, SW 252, CW 198. I feel like my pouch has stretched and it's taking more to satisfy my hunger.
  4. I live in the Thornton area and have several pair of Lane Bryant size 20 jeans.......message me if interested.

  7. I've gone to one called "My Best Friends Closet", they have a store in North Field and another in the Orchard. I've also had great luck at Mile High Thrift Store for work clothes. I started in a 22 and have found Cold Water Creek and LB slacks and jackets in 16's and 18's.

  9. How long did your stall last and when did it start? I was sleeved on 10/22 and have gained 2 1/2 lbs since Sunday ???? I'm getting in all my protein and water, staying away from sweets, carbs and fried foods and feeling a little frustrated...... HW- 260 SW- 252.4 CW- 215.4
  10. We meet the second Monday of the month, 6pm in Russell pavilion bldg (ER entrance) first floor Nobel AB room for group conversation. There will be a plastic surgeon who works with bariatric patients at this months meeting.
  11. I was sleeved by Dr. Chae on 10/22/13, my HW 260, SW 252.4 and CW 213.7. There's a support group at St. Joseph on Monday night, it's a great place to ask questions.

  17. Started week 9 and this is what I'll eat today Breakfast- 1 oz. Honey Smoked Salmon with 1/4 cup egg whites Lunch- Quest bar Snack- 1 oz hard chees and 1 oz Honey Smoked Salmon Dinner- 1 1/2 oz rotisserie chicken and 1/2 oz veggies Snack- 1 oz turkey Jerky Sleeved 10/22/13 SW-250.4 CW- 222.7
  18. Sleeved 10/22 and down 17lbs, getting in two protein shakes a day and maybe 24 ozs. of water. Moved on to puréed today and had 1/2 a poached egg with 1/2 tb. Ricotta took me over an hour to finish and not sure if I'll be able to get my water and shakes in today.......
  19. I'm nine days post op today and woke up feeling pretty good. I did some vacuuming and laundry (no lifting) and now it feels like I may have pulled something on my upper right side, it's feeling very tight and sore. Has anyone else had this happen?
  20. Sleeved on 10/22 and are able to sip 2 ounces of liquids every 15 minutes, including protein shakes....is this too much?
  21. I'm on day 4 post op today and feel the same way you do, I think the drain and fatigue are the worse symptoms for me. I don't get the drain out till the 30th and I fear pulling it out on accident. I agree with everyone else though we just have to hang in there and remember why we're here and know it will get better........good luck!
