I'm a Kaiser member too! I'm meeting my doctor Friday to discuss surgery! Are the 12 week classes mandatory?

Anyone have the gastric sleeve through Kaiser? Can you let me know how the process works since I'm assuming there isn't an approval process since the doctor works for the insurance/hospital company?

Can someone clarify the process? Once u decide on the surgery with your doctor then what... Tests or a diet come next??? I gear people say 6 months supervised diet and others say 2 weeks... Very confused

Can anyone give me any advice as to what I should ask the doctor? I really was going in to ask for phentermine and my doctor replied that it has many side effects... Will I consider bariatric surgery instead???? Very nervous..... But so happy to know its covered by insurance....
