Thank u Laura. I'm really scared I went thru this for nothing. I put my family and myself thru a lot. I've lost a little hope.

  6. SW 263 Sleeved 8/29/13 Pre-op weight 253 CW 240 Love EAS advantage. 80g of protein a day ????. On 10/6 Binged on choc donuts b/c I was angry. (I figure if I tell on myself I will stop the behavior). I am worried that I stretched my stomach. Any thoughts?
  7. Arts, you are so encouraging. We, the frustrated "stallers," need you. BTW I'd like to have a word with that Nut who told that poor girl she might have a slow metabolism. That's an added weight she doesn't need. Hang in there girl. Take one day at a time. No presuppositions.

  10. Poor guy. Coughing had to be a nightmare.
  11. Hi Everyone! VSG date: August 29, 2013 I am a 45 year old single female who started this journey in Jan 2013 @ 263 lbs ("Ideal" weight is 145). Days before the surgery I allowed myself to hope for bright and healthy future. 27 days post-op and hope is warming my heart like the morning sunrise warms the cold earth. However, years of hopelessness wore me down. Pessimism is a hard habit to break. That's why I need reassurance, leadership, and my goodness - a ton of patience. Please consider talking this critical walk with me.
  12. Rick. Congratulations. Truly, you will feel little pain. WALK WALK WALK! Passing gas is a blessing - so keep walking.
  13. August 29'rs. No real change in weight but my clothes are getting looser. I'll take that. I need to concentrate on protein and vitamins (never got in the habit of taking vitamins before). Hope everyone is feeling well!
  14. Good Lord, KathP 112 pounds lost. That's incredible!
  15. Wow. I'm not very social so I never thought much about social forums. I see now that I need your support. Jenni, Arts, Sharika & KathyP, thank you for posting. Arts......your mind vs. matter methodology makes sense and I found that super helpful. Jenni.....I need to focus on my protein intake as well. I love 1% milk, yogurt, lean turkey and low-fat cheese, but I probably need to concentrate on making protein shakes a way of life for a while. Sharika....it sounds like you're in a good because you're walking. I don't feel like doing anything after work; but, I'm not going to beat myself up just yet. I just started taking B12. Maybe that will help. KathP, please stick with the rookie - I need you to tell me like it is. Once again to all, thank you. Please stay in touch.
  16. I'm doing well. My surgeon was spectacular. Very little pain, very small incisions. I went back to work a little too soon (10 days after surgery). I got really tired in the early afternoon because of the limited diet. I'm losing about a pound every third or fourth day which is just fine with me. I want it to come off faster; however, I will follow the recommended diet and keep up the protein. My only concern is that I still lack motivation to exercise. I'm not sure why. Major changes (good or bad) tend to exhaust me mentally. I hope to get past this quick.
