  1. I'm in the doctor's office now for my pre-op appointment!!! Surgery first thing in the morning! Just a little nervous, mostly because the only medical procedure requiring anesthesia that I've ever had was the pre-op EGD! I've met my pre-op goal weight and I'm ready to go!
  2. This morning is the start of day 2 of clear liquids pre-op! It was difficult yesterday, but my fiancé is helping any bit that he can! He tries to eat when I am not around, which is very helpful. Tomorrow morning is my pre-op H&P with the surgeon and anesthesia. Tuesday at 7 is my surgery! Sort of nervous but excited!
  3. I just started my first day of the clear liquid pre-op diet! Tuesday is so close!
  4. Tahlequah, Oklahoma! My surgery is scheduled for 7:00! Nice and early!

  8. Lol! I have noticed that many people have to do a week or more of liquids. I am only on a very low calorie diet, so I am having BMs. Not sure if that is normal for you. A couple of Dulcolax capsules should help ease the constipation.
  9. Dignity! Don't be afraid! If anything just weigh and see where you are and what you need to do! We got this! Please keep me updated!
  10. It's all down hill from there ladies, I am on my last 12 hours and I am down 20lbs in 15 days from the liquids. So tomorrow morning is D day. Stay strong in the end it will be worth it. Cheers to you both you can do it. Prays are with you both.Thank you! Congrats! You are almost there! Keep up the good work and keep me updated on how it's going for you!
  11. Since starting my pre-op diet on Friday I've lost 6 lbs! I'm so excited! It's tough at times, especially at work, but I haven't cheated! Just 5 more days of super low calorie diet and 3 days of clear liquid diet then I get my new tiny stomach pouch!
  12. It's hard, but its going to be worth it! See this time a a way to test how it will be post-op! You can do it!

  14. Good for you! We have surgery the same day!
  15. I am only 5 days after you! You can do it!
  16. So, today I started the very low calorie diet to help shrink my liver before surgery. I had 3 oz of smoked salmon and 2 egg whites for breakfast. It's now 11 and I'm feeling hungry, but I think it is mostly psychological. I'm also on my 3rd liter of water today. My pre-op H&P was cancelled because my surgeon was in emergency surgery. My nurse called me this morning and said we will do the H&P on the day before surgery, same as my appt with anesthesia and last weigh in. Surgery is now less than 2 weeks away and I'm getting very excited! I work at the hospital where the surgery is being performed and I'm excited to have people that I know very well caring for me post-op! I'm also starting to pack my hospital bag! A little early, I know, but I want to be prepared!
  17. Good luck to those in surgery today!
  18. My pre-op H&P appointment with my surgeon got rescheduled today. The nurse says that my surgery day will not have to change though! Still scheduled for 2/25! Starting my pre-op diet today! So excited! It's getting close!
  19. We have surgery on the same day!!!
  20. My very low calorie is scheduled to start 2/15. I'm starting today! I want my liver to be super shrunk for surgery on 2/25! It's getting closer! Good luck to all of you with upcoming surgery dates!
  21. We moved in to our new house over the weekend and this week! I'm so happy to be in our new home! With all the moving I have not been able to work out like I should. I did get somewhat of a workout lifting boxes and shoveling snow off of our new driveway! I have lost 2 more pounds over the weekend! Just 4 more to go until I am under the required weight for surgery! I love hearing from everyone, especially the Feb. 2014 sleevers! It's nice to hear from people going through the same thing at the same time!
  22. I'm in Tahlequah, Ok! Scheduled for surgery 2/25/14!
  23. Thank you all for replying! I am very excited to have surgery and begin my new life! Also, we are closing on our new house on Friday and getting married in May! Several lifestyle changes in store for my fiancé and I in the next few months! Congrats to those of you that are near your surgery date as well!
  24. I am scheduled for VSG February 25th! I can't wait!
  25. Hi! I have been participating in a weight loss program with Cherokee Nation Health Services. I have had some success on my own with diet change and exercise, but I have had this sort of success before and then gained it all back and more. Now I'm furthering my weight loss journey and having the gastric sleeve surgery! My surgery is finally scheduled for February 25, 2014! I have been working towards this date since June 2012! I am a nurse and have had a large amount of education pertaining to weight loss surgery. I also have personal experience with weight loss surgery. My mother, aunt, and cousin as well as several close friends have had weight loss surgery, including gastric sleeve surgery. I have a great support system with my family, friends, and my fiance, but more support is always welcome! Thank you for taking time to read my story! -Lindsey
