  1. Hmm thanks for the responses guys. Seems you can vary the amount of dosages a lot. I had my boyfriend and bestie tag me thus far. I don't think I could do it to myself. They both seem to derive a weird pleasure out of helping me out lol. My friend said "wow its just like butter going in!" heheh She did a way better job with less bruising than my bf. The nurse post op told me that with the melts/pills you don't absorb as much. *shrugs* could have just been his opinion.
  2. Anyone else doing them? How frequently? I had one nurse tell me once a week was sufficient and another say one can do them up to every three days. How many cc/ml do you pop each time?
  3. highest was 248 ab six months ago. Started trying and got down to 236. started liquid pre-surgery diet five days before surgery the 17th and was down to 227 before I left. Now I'm finally home and weigh 222.6. my tummy is swollen still and just generally feel sluggish. Going to walk this afternoon if it will stop raining. I can't wait to see 199
  4. thanks thanks will do it was mostly muscous and a little dark blood from the sutures. they said it was normal but some people didn't throw up at all.
  5. thanks guys. its going well. sitting here with another iv with some other ladies. Last night was a little rough, puked a little blood a few times but that finally stopped this morning. I am so sore but sweet sweet pain meds make everything ok.

  8. I didn't really have an indepth interview but told them I was in therapy for depression and was on abilify and prozac for less than a year before discontinuing (my choice). and was green lighted. I should probably still be in therapy and on mood stabilizers but my family just gave me so much crap about being in treatment. Sort of anti meds/gut through your problems silently sort of people. Anyways I digress, its good that your doctors have your best interests and long term success in mind. One of my friends who never had any depression problems had to get into treatment post gastric bipass due to the initial stressful transition. So it can be a trigger. Just take the next six months to try be healthier in all capacities =]
  9. Yeah big time. I am not a fan of needles when they go into my veins. I fainted once donating blood and just the sensation freaks me out. I don't mind vaccinations, piercing or tattoo needles tho. its so dumb >=[
  10. My surgery is the 17th. Today is my first liquid day. Fridge full of jello, broth and protein stuff has really set in that its happening now. =O
