  1. . I had very positive experience at NJ bariatric center. My surgery was at Overlook in Summit.
  2. So sorry! Was also out of town and my phone app logged me out.. Was 209 on Easter.. Of course 208 - my goal today. Hope everyone enjoyed their Easter.
  3. I also just wore the gown. I did bring a robe and wore that. I too wore home what I wore there. I really didn't use anything I brought. Good luck!
  4. 210 today. Down 2.
  5. 212 today. Down 1.
  6. 213 today. Down 2.
  7. . I couldn't stand any of the protein drinks I liked before surgery after. It took me a few weeks to readjust. For me it got easier but did take a bit. Good luck!
  8. Initially I told my parents. Then bro and sis in law. One close friend. Didn't tell other brother who lives out of state. Also didn't want to be judged since he is also a diet and exercise fanatic. I felt bad at first for not telling more people, but then decided it did this for me and not them. I'm ok with it.
  9. CW: 215 Goal: 207 Thanks again for doing another challenge Bea!
  10. Initially I told my parents. I then also told my one brother and sister in law and a good friend who I also happen to work with. My Aunt found out pre surgery which I was ok with because she lives in another state, however is super supportive. I didn't tell anyone else at work or my other brother and sister in law and family. My surgery was in Oct '13. I've only since told two more people. I'm ok with it being personal.
  11. I agree. Try different protein shakes. There are a lot to choose from. Also, the Vitamin Shoppe has individual size protein powder packets. It's nice to spend a couple dollars of not like it vs. buying a huge tub. Good luck!
  12. Happy Sy. Patricks Day everyone! The luck of the Irish allowed me to have the sleeve surgery... However the Irish in me also went to a party Saturday.. Today 's weight 215. It's down, so in ok not reaching my goal.
  13. Late also! Sorry. Same 216.
  14. good luck tomorrow!! Happy snow was a big nothing this time! I'm also from Central NJ. Sleeved 10/21 @ Overlook.
  15. 216 today. Probably my best loss in a while. Thanks to some helpful info on this site, I've mixed up my meals and it appears to be working. As far as what day we check in , I'll go with whatever you want Bea. I agree, since you spend your time helping us all achieve our goals, whatever you decide is fine with me. Thanks!
  16. Ugh, trying not to be discouraged, still 221. Clothes however are fitting better. Sorry I'm a day late.
  17. Ugh! Sorry, this is a day late! At some point today I'll realize it's actually Tuesday. CW - 221 Goal - 210 Thanks Bea again for another challenge!
  18. Started @ 287 (5'10"). Sleeved 10/21. Lost 16 pre-op and weighed 221 this morning. I feel I've been a slow looser, but am not complaining. I feel I need to change up what I'm eating. I've been eating the same proteins (chix, eggs, cheese, yogurt) and find the more I mix it up the better I do.
  19. 221 today! Finally reached a challenge goal! Yeah!! (Guess all the snow shoveling is paying off) rather than just being annoying at this point)
  20. I totally agree! Although this is the 1st goal I've reached, all this snow is really not helping me. The more snow days I have at home allow me more time/access to more food I wouldn't normally have at work!! Plus I enjoy exercising outside rather than inside.
  21. I'm in too! Would be un-Irish of me not to be! Thanks again for doing another challenge!!
  22. . Excellent! I'm also doing well. Very thankful not to have complications I hear about from others on this site. The weather was awful Wednesday. I did take the day off.. Good luck on your journey!
  23. 223!! Finally. Feel like I'm getting somewhere!!
  24. My pre op diet was 2 weeks, 1200 calories, low carb and one shake a day. I lost 11lbs.
  25. Sorry Bryant bro! Been off the site for a bit. I'm from Middlesex County. How are you doing? How was your surgery and is your recovery going?
