Turning 67 in a few weeks. Was sleeved on June 4 and am down 64 pounds from 284 pounds. One 3 week stall and now another this week but I feel successful enough. Had hoped to break 200 for my birthday but will celebrate the new year at a weight I haven't seen since I was in 8th grade.
Was able to get off the cholesterol med but still on BP med. my back is as painful as ever but my knees and hips are better. Before surgery, if I sat for too long, I was barely able to walk. Now I can just get up and go on.
I am glad I decided to have the surgery. It was a proactive step instead of more sitting around waiting for things to change.
Well, at the least, there are the two of us. I am 66 years old, have been sleeved for almost 4 months. I am down 60 pounds from 284.
I have carried this weight all my life and am just sick of it and from it. I am an old woman long before my time and hope to reverse even a little of those years. We'll see.
Sleeved 6/4. Started 284 and was down exactly 50 pounds at three months. Clothes are roomy and people comment all the time so I know I have lost.
BUT I can't see it and certainly don't feel it. I find it discouraging. Until today. I had ordered sweats to wear to the gym. I bought one a size smaller than pre-sleeve and another 2 sizes smaller to put away for a few months. As it turns out it is the 1X that fits.
Don't misunderstand I know I look terrible in sweat pants but you got to wear something and these FIT. Haven't been a 1X in 50 years if then.
