  1. Well my surgery (sleeve) is now done everything went good. They had to take my gallbladder because it was bad but everything else went good. Today it sounds like I have 2 bears fighting in my belly lol hope it stops soon. I do have a question do sleeve people get food stuck? I've seen a lot with the RNY say they do so I was wondering about the sleeve if they do.

  4. I have surgery tomorrow at noon and IM SCARED!!!!!!! I'm sitting here second guessing my decision ugh I guess it's normal BUT I'm scared!,, wish I could just relax ugh gonna be a long long day.

  9. Thanks sue jersey I know it's just a small thing to worry about. It's just I love my hair and it took 9 yrs to get it past shoulder length. But I'd rather get healthy, get this weight off and live a longer life.
  10. I've been told so much about loosing my hair after surgery and have read a lot about it. I'm taking biotin everyday like I was told. But what I have read people loose their hair in handfuls I'm kinda nervous about this I have my surgery next Monday. Is there any other things I can do to help prevent this? My hair takes forever to grow!!!

  13. Hello everyone. I'm getting sleeved Oct 7th I'm from a little country town in Southern il and was looking for a buddy that will be having surgery around the same time, so we can talk and trade stories and help each other threw this.
  14. My surgery is coming up in 2 weeks. I know I will have pain but is it unbearable?? I've had friends that have had it done one was in bed for bout 3 or 4 days the other well it's been over a week. I know everyone is different just wondering about how long the pain stays. Also since surgery is getting close I've found myself researching nonstop to make sure I didn't miss anything. I mean I know this is what I want and need for my health. But I've seemed to become obsessed with it. I'm so afraid I'm gonna mess up after am I over thinking everything??????

  17. Finally got a date surgery is set for Oct 7th. And I'm soooo excited. Is there anyone else having surgery around the same day?

  20. Went to my last appointment today and they set my date October 7 th it is!!!!! I'm so happy and ready for this new journey.
  21. Woohoo I called the dr today and asked if I could move my app up, due to it wasn't till next month. Now my last app is this coming Tuesday. I am so excited and ready for this.

  24. Well I have everything done seen the dr insurance has been approved Yay!!! Only took 3 days to be approved. Now the wait for a month to see the nutritionist ugh a month, but they said when I see her I will start a 1 week pre op diet then schedule surgery. I'm sooooo excited about this journey but this next month will be the longest ever!!!!!!! I have found this talk site to be very full of info and I love reading everyone's stories. I can't wait to get the surgery date when I do I'm sure everyone will here me screaming lol. I do have a question what has everyone done to really prepare for this meaning food etc?? Any info would help.
