  1. I'm 8 months post op.. lost 150lbs so far ( i was pretty large)... Havent been to the gym in two months and have been night bingeing. Any helpful tips. Thanks
  2. It is ok, when i first had my surgery it took me a while before i could take in more than 300 cal a day. Your body will go into starvation mode, i did. Ketoacidosis (your body break down fat to turn it into energy), your mouth will taste funny and cottony, its a part of the process. I like tea so mint teas was helpful with the taste. Just make sure you are hydrated and are trying to drink your shakes, if you are concerned that you are not getting enough Fluid, i do suggest calling your MD. Pain is subjective everyone experiences it didfferently so never compare yourself with someone else. Take you time with physical activity, get up and walk around slowly around the block, up and down the stairs (take pain medication 30 mins before activity makes moving a little less painful). Your body is going through alot bare with it and brighter days are def coming. The full feeling will last for a while, i'm sorry to tell you, slow sips, small sips, get baby spoons, forks and plates if you had to, helps with portion control.
  3. Wow that is fantastic, tomorrow will be my six month being done and i've lost 136. I still cant personally see it, but my clothes and scale tells me, i find that one fo the hardest part of the weight lost. But good job, you must be the perfect patient.
  4. I also started on soft solid food and have not seen any weight lost in 3 days. I'm day 21 today, getting kinda discouraged also, but after reading you post and others comments gives me a little comfort. Lifted my mood a little, will continue to follow program and do my best and honestly thats all we can do, the rest will follow.
  5. I cant believe i would feel like this, 6 days post op. No pain and no nausea which is a plus. But i cannot get all my fluids or my proteins in. I get about 40oz of fluid and about 30g of proteint in. So frustrated from feeling full all the time. Everything i eat/drink feels like a brick in my stomach. Tryin to choke down these shakes seem to be emotionally draining for me, I cant imagine doing this everyday, when will it get better??? Any ideas on how to get in more fluids without feeling like I'm gonna pop.
