  1. I am assuming the next challenge will begin on Sunday! That is if Bea's final decision is to have challenges end on the actual holiday! Thanks, Bea, for making this weight loss business a bit more fun!
  2. I did the same at month 4! I NEEDED to get that water in and could not do it without a straw! Make everything easier, including that morning protein shake! Hail to the straw!
  3. Still 179. I don't know what's going on, but I haven't even made Valentines goal! Sign me up for the next one, Bea! I've gotta get there sooner or later!
  4. This is very true. Sometimes it's hard to keep this in mind! Same holds true for men, they seem to lose more quickly!
  5. I've been bouncing around this number for weeks! We will keep on until it goes down! It will go down!
  6. Wow! I can lose pounds, but you, my dear, have lost years! We'll done!
  7. It's so easy to be scared! When all we see are folks saying the "weight just fell off". In reality, it's taking its time. Slowly, cautiously, our bodies adjust. I am guilty of it. I absolutely know better, but when a few weeks go by with nary a pound loss, I've panicked. Surely I've done something wrong, I review the food logs, I check in on the forums. But I haven't It's not falling off, It's stumbling I'm doing this right
  8. It occurs to me that a "stall" is not really a thing. I have been confused and upset by these "stalls" since the very first episode at 3 weeks. But, as I read what you folks have to say, it dawns on me that it is EXPECTED, it is definitely part of the process. We need to stop even thinking about them as a halt of sorts, but a minor blip in the overall path to success. I was mislead by so many member's descriptions of their weight loss. They would say, "....stick with it and the weight will fall off!" OR "... I had my surgery a minute ago and I've lost 100lbs!" Comparing won't kill you if you take it with a grain of salt. Understand that, for the majority, the weight doesn't just "fall" off! It comes of in dribs and drabs and once in a while we may be surprised with a loss that is a pound and 1/4 more than normal. Don't be fooled. You are doing it right! You are amazing!
  9. 179! I didn't think this stall would EVER end! No way I'm making goal, but at least I keep on keeping on!
  10. At my 3 month visit, My surgeon told me that I could stop taking them. So, I did. Then I realized that I still needed it, like, ALOT. So, I called the office up and the called in a prescription with a 4 month refill! Hallelujah! I intend to try to forego them again at a later date.
  11. Same here! I am 5 months out and all of a sudden, more food! I don't mean so much that I CAN fit it as much as I mean that I NEED to! I absolutely can not do max 800 calories anymore! It is so scary to think that nothing is changed, that the successful folks will be the ones with the most willpower. So far, keeping away from naughty foods has not been too difficult, but suddenly temptation seems impossible to resist. Holding on..... For now
  12. "I believe in pink...." Audrey Hepburn
  13. Look at you with your Victorias Secret bag and whatnot!
  14. Never before has a bruised hip sounded so appealing. Here's to more rambunctious dancers knocking you on your tush! Best
  15. I bought a boat load of Quest bars because of all the praise here and I almost died from the grossness. Weird texture- nothing in nature has this texture with the exception of sand. My jaw ached by the time I was halfway done. I like THINKTHIN bars, though not sure how exactly healthy they are, but they are yummy and have the Protein in spades!
  16. I really liked this. I can relate. You HAVE already beaten it! Good job.
  17. I use loseit! I've also tried MFP but, I like Loseit better! I got the Loseit scale also. That's pretty cool because when you weigh yourself, it automatically enters into the APP!
  18. I have bcbs ILL and it was super smooth. I did not even have comorbities! I just made the 40 BMI mark. Good luck!
