  1. I'm just over 2 months post op and my doc told me to wait 18 months!
  2. HW: 250 SW: 250 CW: 210 40 pound / 20 kg loss. I am very pleased with it. Trying my best to get all Protein in - but struggle at times. It was a struggle in the beginning but I stayed strong and had faith in God to help me through. Still not 100% active. And the only physical activity I do is walking. At times I get pain from my pouch when I bend over but apart from that I am well. I am looking forward to being healthy again.
  3. My sex drive also died for a while but I didn't have the heart to say to my husband lol and now it's slowly coming back and is more enjoyable
  4. I am also 4 weeks post op and last week was a hard week, was feeling very low and upset for the same reasons, but we must mourn our love for food if we want to be fit and healthy. I keep repeating the same sentence in my head 'I eat to live, not live to eat'. We loved our food for years the food mourning process will take time. Stay strong.
  5. Thanks I will try that!
  6. I was on Vitamins and bile salt meds which I stopped last week but again slowly starting to incorporate them daily God help!
  7. Yessss I have been going nuts since last week, I am also 4 weeks post op. tried antihistamines for a few days but as soon as it wares off I am back to scratching like a monkey! Stopped ally meds for a week as instructed by my doc but still no difference!
  8. I am 3 weeks post op and in the soft food stage. I also had the same problem of pain in the chest whilst eating. I now use a teaspoon to eat and I wait 5 mins between each bite and I'm ok with that. I suppose u just have to try different things till u get to something your body can handle. Good luck.
  9. I'm 9 days out and can just about sleep on my right side without any pain but the left side is a different story - I plan to wait another week before I try!
  10. I'm 9 days post op and have lost 13 pounds - I'm so excited!
  11. I totally agree tconn25, the soups were killing me too! Lol
  12. I am so looking forward to having tuna. I am 9 days post-op and on full fluids. Will move to soft foods in a few days but I cheated last night (omg) I had a few bites of an omelette. But tuna is my favourite.
  13. I am 6 days post op and I feel great. Just hang in there. Each day the pain is less. Today I am pain free yay me! As for the shoulder I had the same pain on the day of surgery and the nurse sprayed some muscle relaxant onto my shoulder and rubbed a little and I didnt get the problem again. Good luck! Stay strong!
  14. I am 6 days post op the whole time I was in the hospital I couldn't pee. Now at home and i am peeing frequently and drinking better also.
