Hi. ..I have so many questions and I'm hoping some post op patients will have patients with me while I ask away...lol... I wanted to know if controlling your emotions and eating was hard those first 3 weeks. ..I hear you have to do an oz of Water every 15 mins? Was that hard? Then Protein. . protein. . what do you all suggest to get inthe daily amount . if I buy a huge container of protein for shakes. . is that good enough? I know this is life changing and I want to be ready. . prepared and aware. Have any of you had to come home on day 2 and just be need ridden? What Vitamins do you have to take our do they suggest? How long should you wait to have sex? How bad is the constipation? Has anyone slipped and taken ibuprofen? Keeping my fingers crossed

Hi. ..I was wondering what kind of comments other people are getting when you mention that you are getting VSG? I hear and see alot of people say that they aren't telling anyone. . well when you go from a a size 20 to a 14..what are you suppose to say lol? I have only shared this journey with a couple of people because of the negative vibes that ive gotten. .My manager and I have a wonderful relationship and he blew a gasket...no no no you dont need that...thats dumb...then to my loving boyfriend. .no..thats the easy way out and I dont agree. .im like damn can anyone support me here...My mother lives 6 hrs away and she is 100% supportive but I feel like I need a good support system here as well and I don't really have it....ALL the people who suoport me are 6 hrs away...just wanted to know if anyone else was going thru this....the NUT said that I definitely need support going thru this.... Shuuuuuuu (wiping my brow) glad to get that off of my chest! patiently waiting

So weird. .I was just going thru the same thing and I was becoming discouraged. .I finally called my insurance company and my coordinator and said eh hemmmm... what's the status I'm freaking here and they gave me an update.... she told me all looks good and I should hear from her on Monday.. so that eased my anxiety a little. .. call them today and ask for the status. . trust me they are used to it patiently waiting

Thanks and I hope so. I called my insurance company yesterday and the rep I spoke to informed me that it was pending and they were awaiting a call from my surgeons office? So.. I called my surgeons office and said ughhhh...bcbs is awaiting your call and haven't heard anything yet? patiently waiting

Good day sleevers! I've been awaiting approval for over a week now. Has anyone ever experienced this long of a wait? For some reason my paperwork ended up in the wrong hands and now they have resubmitted my paperwork. .I'm becoming worried as I see all these pre ops getting approved in 1 day. Sighhhhh. .. I'm starting to lose my mo jo...... patiently waiting

This will work for you. .. we are going to claim it. . when you first signed up for this WLS they should have informed you. .. my very first visit to see a surgeon to discuss this procedure I sat in the waiting room of course waiting to see the surgeon and as I walked back the receptionist stopped me and said. . your insurance requires a BDCOE and we are not? I said ok and left. . luckily there are at least 3 in my area within an hour drive but someone should have been able to give you that information before it got this far? Wishing you the best and please don't give up patiently waiting
