Good morning...I had VSG 1/26/18, I'm down 53.8 lbs to date and I'm super happy about that, however this week, I'm having a mental issue. I feel exactly the same as I did previous to surgery. I feel like I'm fat, worthless, not doing well, a failure.... My "normal" brain understands that's not true. My "normal" brain knows how much I've accomplished. What do you guys do to combat the mental part?? I need some advice.
My pre op diet starts tomorrow! I am looking at it as the 1st day of my new life. I am excited to become healthier & happier. [emoji173] A little nervous too... Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app
I have heard this alot. I am waiting for approval and hoping for surgery in December and I think I will stay out as long as recommended because I want to do everything I can to have a great recovery.
Thank you! That's how I made my decision. I dont have health problems but I'm 44 and know they coming if I don't do this. Sent from my SM-G935V using BariatricPal mobile app
I attended a seminar last week and have my consult with the doc on 9/28. I am pretty excited and terrified.
Has anyone dealt with a lack of support from their spouse? My husband is uncommunicative and is against me having surgery. I think he is nervous something will happen because we know someone who had terrible complications. Any thoughts to help me get him on board?
