  3. Thanks so much guys!!! My 16 month old is 24 lbs and I'm a sahm so that first month should be interesting! I'm not worried about being at home it's just getting her in the car seat to take my older son to pre-school. Guess I'll need more help than I thought!
  4. Just wondering what everyone's restrictions were after you had surgery and for how long? I have a 16 month old and a 4 year old and am interested in what my limitations will be with lifting the baby. Thanks so much in advance for your help! I'm scheduled for Oct 2 and can't wait!!!!

  11. Jut a quick question. I start my Pre-op diet tomorrow (YAY!!!) and I was wondering if I can mix my protein powder with skim milk or if it has to be water?? Thanks for your help!!
  12. I just got a call from the sleep center saying I need to have a second sleep test done. So I guess they saw something on the first one that will require me to have a CPAP!! So not looking forward to this!!! I HATED the first one!! And I'm so annoyed since I thought I had just finished all of my Pre op testing and consultations and have a follow up with my surgeon on Monday so I was just hoping to be done and get my date set!!! I'm self pay so no need for insurance approval!! Just venting! Good thing is that they had an opening for tomorrow so I can get it out of the way! Any one have experience with a CPAP mask? Advice would be greatly appreciated!!
  13. I'm actually going through this right now as well!! Only my daughter is 16 months. I decided that for me, I need to have this surgery done to be healthy for my kids. I weaned her from 4 times a day to just once in the morning. I finally just stopped since I'm hoping for an October date. It was extremely difficult and I still feel guilty. Especially when she's screaming and trying to lift my shirt. When I met with the surgeon he did tell me to wait to have the surgery until I was done breast feeding. It's your decision. I can understand your concern. I loved nursing!
  14. I am also self pay and have just started my process. I went for my initial visit with the surgeon on August 5th and I'm currently in the process of having all of my tests and appointments done. I go back on Sept. 16th to follow up with my surgeon and hope to have an October date!! So to me, that's pretty quick!
  15. Oh no! Not another sleep test!! Ahhh!!! I hated it! Thanks for all of your input!!!
  16. Hi everyone!! I just started my journey to being heathy with the sleeve this month. I've had my initial consultation with my surgeon and I have scheduled all of my appointments and have already had all of my tests done this week. I'm self-pay so I won't need to wait for my insurance to approve the surgery so I'm hoping for an October surgery date!!! Fingers crossed! My question is... Has anyone been diagnosed with sleep apnea after having the sleep test done and if so, what happens next? Will it delay an oct. surgery date? I'm just concerned that I may have it. I may be just crazy, but after my test was done in the morning, the person taking my leads off was talking about wearing a mask. And how many patients wear them after surgery. And that they can't discuss results with the patients now and it takes a few weeks for them to get to the Dr. I just feel like she was trying to tell me that I have it without actually saying it! I may be thinking too much into it and maybe she was just doing the same explanation that she gives every patient. But I just have a feeling! Sorry this was so long!! I wish everyone the best of luck with their journey!!
