  2. I'm an Athletic Director from Oklahoma. Sleeved on July 25, by Dr. Garcia. Down 42 pounds from pre-op diet. So far it has been a breeze. But in afraid the heat is going to kill me during football season. Good luck to all.
  3. I completely understand how you are feeling. I weighed in at 314 right before surgery. I waited until one week later to weigh and I was at 322. I thought their scales must have been off. Two days later and I was at 310. Lots of fluid from IV's and swelling. It was like overnight and my stomach had shrunk. Just give it some time. The body is an amazing and confusing thing.
  4. Hang in there. My wife has severe gas pain with each surgery. She has to endure it until it finally dissipates. Walking is about the only thing that will help with it.

  7. The temperature was fine. I had a thermostat in my room to control it and I don't remember it being cold. My wife was comfortable and she gets cold very easy.
  8. I used Dr. Garcia in Tijuana and it was a great experience. Pre-surgery weight was 352. I lost 22lbs during my pre-op diet. I'm down to 310lbs eleven days post-op. So far it has been a great experience. I had no gas pain, very little surgical pain and my mind isn't messing with me yet. This seems to be a great community of sharing ideas and seeking support.
  9. I used Dr. Fernando Garcia in Tijuana, Mexico. My surgery was July 25 and it was great. My father went along with me and my wife. They changed our hotel reservations to a better hotel so that my father would have a room also. We were picked up immediately upon arrival at San Diego and taken to our hotel. The next day we were taken to the Oasis of Hope hospital were the surgery took place. It was very nice and clean. The staff was great. The surgery went very smooth and hospital stay was two days. Then two more days at the hotel. It was a great experience. Everyone was very professional but at the same time they were very caring and attentive. I would highly recommend Dr. Fernando Garcia.
