  1. I see everyone go on about other "symptoms" of the hormonal changes right after surgery, but I don't think I have seen anyone talk about if they had another go around of "puberty" acne? :ph34r:
  2. The easiest way is to find a container that will hold the water/fluids you want to drink in a day. And then make sure to drink it. A pitcher for all of it or maybe a few shaker bottles with ounces printed on the sides. Instead of trying to add up a bunch of different glasses, just drink all of your "container". You can even pour it into a glass, just make sure to finish off the whole "container". No mental math required if you know you have to drink that "container" each day, period.
  3. I nearly snorted my drink on my screen!
  4. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. I am still wondering what magic she is using to keep them up?
  6. How on earth are you keeping up your old ones up? Don't they want to fall around your ankles? Go get a pack of cheapies for now and then buy fancies when you hit goal.
  7. Great! I have often wondered if getting sleeved (or any WLS) "together" avoids some of the emotional pitfalls of one person doing it and shifting the dynamic of the relationship? Obviously I know the "bad relationship gets worse and good relationship gets better" thought... but I wonder if both persons having WLS puts it on a different playing field? The "bad" stories on all the forums seem to be when only one makes massive changes. I haven't really seen many where both do it and both make massive changes. I mean it will be a wee tad harder to pull any passive aggressive crap when you both can't eat anything and you both physically feel the same way.
  8. My hubby is getting sleeved the week after me next month and he is starting in the 300's too.
  9. I have my surgery in a few weeks and hubby has his a week after mine. Doctor offered to do us both on the same day, but we needed to juggle our kids. Anyone else?
  10. Looking good!!! And ouchies on the "girls". {{{{hugs}}}
  11. There is a saying that I see on alot of the forums: You are having surgery on your stomach, not your head. The most successful long term sleevers deal with their head "issues" BEFORE they have surgery and keep on working on them afterwards. I would highly suggest talking to a GOOD therapist, one that deals with bariatric patients and/or eating disorders/disordered eating. Good luck!
  12. I just realized the Protein powder would be from the smoothies they make at some locations. It's whey protein: http://www.starbucks...control=product I did also see they had a link for drinks under 200 calories: http://www.starbucks.com/menu/nutrition/20-under-200
  13. Has anyone done this? And did you know what type of protein it was?
  14. Oh and I hope you went back to wherever you saw the good reviews and left a real review yourself!!! Warn others!
  15. Yep. {{{hugs}}} And even a BIG yep yep to the part of hubby not wasting and me not wanting food poisoning!!!!!!
  16. Or I tried MultiQuote and that didn't work. LOL
  17. :ph34r: Ok I know this thread is over a year old, but I stumbled across it and read it all. Now curiosity is killing me. OP how did that road trip go? How are you doing now? Did the ex ever get "weirder"? My thought was he might be stalking you on the dating sites. And to the other ladies... did you all end up staying with your SO's?
  18. That "thing" looks like a giant tapeworm. Which I guess would work if it was.
  19. You looked GORGEOUS!!!!!!
  20. Thank you so much for posting! You are looking great so far! Sending healing thoughts and vibes to you!!!!
