What exactly are you trying to say? You've posted something under complications which is a bit disparate - but not what i'd consider a 'vent' and now you're posting something here saying you're tired of it? Tired of what, exactly? People on the Sleeve forum? The Sleeve? The surgery comparison debate? If someone is being negative towards you or your choices, you have the option to ignore and report. If you're wanting to state your dissatisfaction with how people debate these issues - you're entitled. However, this is not original thought and you'll be joining a long queue!

I had a SIL like that once... I chose the same tack as you. It was only a matter of time before she got drunk at a family party and made a total arse out of herself by calling me a 'f****ing bitch', because she wasn't winning an argument she'd picked. Yep, he's eaten things that bark (deer, etc)- other than dogs. He draws the line at dogs, because they're mans best friend. Well, his best friends. He wouldn't eat cat I don't think either - because he can take or leave cats. Protected species are off the list, too. He went without kisses for 24 hours, after he decided to chow down on sauteed scorpions... and crickets.. and grubs.. <gag> Man of the land. Or should I say; Man of the swamp.....

I have an American in my house. Thanksgiving will officially hit Scotland this 2013. Will this day be any different to any other day? No, because he eats me out of house and home as it is! If it crawls, slithers, swims, barks, moo's, oinks, fly's, hops - it's fair game and he's eating it. A veritable human dustbin.... Maybe a huge turkey might be a good idea.. It'll keep him fed for, hmm, I don't know, three hours

I personally think that although certain people espouse total and utter factually incorrect lunacy on occasion; I think people making personal attacks and being down right rude and offensive is a more of a wider issue on this website.... And it appears to go on with total impunity....

I've lived in a green-zone or two. Didn't stop us from getting rocketed, frag grenaded or car-bombed. AND we were compliant! Sheesh!

I would answer the door in something a little similar to this. Or something new and hideously expensive. I would not say a word, other than genteel greetings accompanied by an air of light, sparkling effervescence. I would serve the best Thanksgiving dinner in the history of the world - ever - being the consummate host as I went. Whilst oozing myself over the table to pass the various dishes and flashing an engaging smile; I would lift the mash potatoes, look your SIL straight in the eye and say; 'One lump, or two?' < I would then probably make an excuse to retire to the kitchen, where I would quietly shut the door and spend a quality 30 seconds getting down, doing the Carlton Banks dance> Oh yes, indeedy!
