  1. Thank you. You have no idea the hope this gives me. I'm 39 and I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis roughly 4 years ago. The combo of steroids and depression caused me to really pack on the pounds. Now I'm sporting sleep apnea, fibro, and high blood pressure. I'm on several meds in for pain that seem to really be doing a number on my body in general... Not to mention I barely make it through a super stressful job. I fall into bed around 7pm only to head back to work at 7 am. I see this surgery and losing the weight as a way to get my life back.
  2. I don't know why but all week at work, I seem to get super tired. The pre-op diet isn't much fun right now. 5 more days till it's sleeve time. I did buy some realtree camo crocs to rock at the hospital. Oh yeah I'm that guy.
  3. I was in limbo for about 2 months. I had everything done but my PCP, changed practices before my letter was faxed to the surgeon. I had to wait till he was in his new practice, and have an appointment with him and get him to get my medicial release out. All this while working 60 hours a week drinking Protein shakes for 2 meals a day. It is all in the past and I have my date for August 6th. I'm ready for my sleeve, and some time off from work. Woot woot!
  4. August 6th in El Paso with Dr Lara. I'm super excited.
