Since I was sleeved on 8/5 I have lost 24 lbs. And my bp has gotten much lower. I may be able to get off my water pill as early as next week! I'm feeling better too and have been walking almost every day.

Thanks! I'm feeling alittle better today and was able to freshen up. My BP is still high though. I'll be going home tomorrow. Not alot of gas pain but my tummys sore. I also have no desire to eat or drink water.

Got sleeved this morning and I'm now in my room recovering. I won't lie it was rough for me. I woke up very sick and disorientated. I was so dizzy. But then things turned for the better and they gave me awesome drugs! I felt better quick. Can't stop sleeping and after just a sip of water makes me feel very full.

Yeah its getting close! And I'm getting so nervous!! I'm trying to stay busy so I don't focus on it lol. I only met with Dr. Carauana once and I never had a second appt. Before surgery. I went to a pre-op class for 2 hours 2 weeks ago. Yeah I did not want the bypass either mostly due to absorption issues. Have you got a date for surgery yet?

Oh and I have two friends who have wls one from there. She had a bypass done though. The other was through Dr. Phan and she had the sleeve. She's lost 30 lbs. In 3 weeks. The other friend has lost well over 100 lbs. In alittle over a year!

I also had a good experience so far. I have Dr. Carauana and I'm happy about that. I liked all the seminars including the nutrition class and I agree with you on the price of the protein powders there. After surgery I'm gonna look into getting a membership from Sams Club. There is a powder called premier and I heard it was good. The one thing I really dislike about Synergy is the fact that you need to leave messages and wait to be called back. I have 2 more days until my surgery and its starting to hit me "OMG!!! WTH was I thinking!?" Lol but I'm sure everything is going to be ok lol.

My in-laws live there so I'm there a lot. How has your experience been so far witb Synergy? I'm on the pre-op diet and can't till its over lol.

My In-laws have already started saying "can't she wait" (so hubby doesn't have to take time off), or "why does she need that?" And thy treat it like I'm getting cosmetic surgery or something. They haven't offered to come up and visit me and haven't said good luck which is fine. Theyre just being cold which kinda hurts. I would postpone the surgery but my bp is extremely high even with medication and I feel I need to do this now and he understands. Besides he could more than likely go back to work in a day or two after I get home. I'm overly senesitive and let things get to me :/

How many of you have choosen not to tell family other than your parents or siblings? I feel like I'm in a delima because my aunts would be hurt that I never told them but they tend to gossip. I wouldn't mind them knowing but I really dont see the reason for my extended family to know. I'm feeling torn and somewhat alone in this process as I feel as though I'm keeping a big secret (which i guess i am lol).

I am very excited but scared. I've had 2 csections so I don't know what I'm worried about. Its great hearing that you and your sister are being successful! Congrats!!

Hi I just joined and like that there's so much support. I am from Cheektowaga and am getting sleeved by Dr. Carauana at Sisters Hospital on 8/5. I start my pre-op diet tomorrow and Im getting so nervous and having mixed feelings. I keep telling myself that I can't continue on this path of destruction and I want to be healthy for my 2 small children. Is anyone else having their sleeves around that date? And best wishes to everyone that is or just had the sleeve.
